We spent 2 weeks here; the purpose was to relax and watch/photograph wildlife. The hotel is really nice, we stayed in a spacious sea view chalet and enjoyed plenty of wildlife in and around the resort grounds. The location is perfect for day trips and we visited Yala, Bundala & Udawalawe national parks, Kalametiya wetlands and a boat trip from Mirissa. The Hotel team is really nice and very helpful; all our arrangements were made with them. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic family stay at EvaLanka Hotel near Tangalle! The accommodation was excellent—clean and comfortable, with fresh towels provided daily. The staff was incredibly friendly and always available to help, offering 24/7 support. The on-site massage was a great experience, and the swimming pools, filled with seawater, were cleaned daily. We also noticed a big improvement in the breakfast compared to last year—much better quality and variety. One of the best things about this hotel is its stunning, expansive green territory, which is beautifully maintained. We loved spotting parrots, monkeys, peacocks, and other local wildlife around the property. And the almost-private beach right in front of the hotel made our stay even more special. A couple of things to keep in mind: while the hotel is generally accessible, the property is on a hill, which might create some limitations for guests with reduced mobility. Also, the internet quality has improved compared to last year but still has room for improvement. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend EvaLanka for a relaxing getaway!

Wonderful place; fantastic garden, beautiful untouched beach, beautiful view from chartlet, friendly staff, great room service, great food, great pool facilities, great massage in Ayurveda center. Communication via Whatsapp with the reception was really handy. All in all a lovely 6 night stay! Thank you Eva Lanka!

An amazing get away. Surrounded with beautiful nature. So family friendly. I have a 1 year old boy and he enjoyed it. Every staff loves kids. Loved the room we got. The hotel staffs are great. They are really committed to their work. Dilum operations manager went beyond to make us comfortable. What ever we requested he did it for us. The front office executive Lakmali also always fulfilled my request. What ever I asked she did it immediately. The restaurant was incredible food. They cooked everything, even if it was not on menu they would accommodate your request and try to make it. Ajith restaurant supervisor and his team were amazing.

The hotel was spread out with several chalets and provided guests with one of the most spectacular views you will see in coastal Sr Lanka. This is not the most luxurious hotel in the country, but it deserves its 4-star rating. We thought it provided excellent value for money.

No word, just like no picture could ever make justice of this magical place where you’ll feel like in paradise. If you are looking for excessive luxury this ain’t your spot but if you do love to feel like home whilst being immerse in wonderful nature I couldn’t recommend more this family run hotel. The harmony and peace all around you will make you happy to actually be there and you won’t miss any kind of comfort. The beach is just few steps away from your room and even if it is not private, it’s just like a private tropical beach with calm waters and nice, lively reef. You also have 2 swimming pools if you’d like to hang out after a great massage or an excellent breakfast. Staff is awesome and extremely friendly as well as incredibly helpful. Davide and Francesca are a lovely couple who manage the whole thing and it won’t take you long to realize that it’s just like a big family ( from the gardener to the receptionist ) welcoming you at you Eva Lanka with a common goal of making your staying unforgettable. My week with them was a perfect compromise in a classy and stylish but very authentic place. Absolutely loved it !

if you are looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature with large spaces, Evalanka is definitely the ideal place. we were well welcomed, pampered and looked after in everything. The Spa offers Ayurveda massages performed by expert therapists, spacious rooms and a breathtaking view. we will definitely be back! congratulations to Davide and Francesca who make this place unique and special, a true pearl overlooking the Indian Sea Luca&Guenda

We have spent over 1 month here with my family, my 20 year old and my 4 months old babies. Great value for money! The Italian owners and the staff have been incredibly accommodating with the weirdest requests we had, always available, professional al and kind. The structure is perfect for a family also with young kids like mine. It’s very clean and safe. We met amazing people during our stay, from many different countries and different backgrounds (families with children, nomadic workers, retired couples, teenagers, young adults…). It was very enriching. The location is incredible, just above a fantastic paradise beach, still undiscovered by the main tourism and one of the only ones in the area in which is safe to swim in (there are no dangerous currents). You can see turtles and beautiful fish if the visibility is good. We had the chance to do excursions that were really well organised, and they also arranged to find a very good babysitter for our 4 months old. Ayurveda massages are great and the therapists and the doctor helped us a lot with a few health issues we had during our stay. I would definitely recommend it and I am looking forward to come back in the near future!

We had a wonderful stay here, we stayed 5 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms were very spacious and nice, loved that they serviced the rooms everyday and left us fresh water, really thoughtful. The staff were all very nice and welcoming, the food in the restaurant was great and the breakfast buffet was very nice too. The pools were both great and the children really enjoyed them. I was perfect that we could walk to the beach and there was a great little area where the sea was very calm for the children to play. We met the owner and her husband a few times and they were both so nice, they have some exciting plans going forward and we would stay again at the drop of a hat.
