Beautiful hotel with very attractive grounds over looking the sea. I loved the planting in the gardens. We had a large sea view room with a king bed and a huge balcony in the block nearest all the amenities. We were first put in a room furthest from everything, overlooking the sea, but with a building site and a road to the side which we could see. We complained and we were moved but it was a disappointing arrival. We would also have expected a cold drink on arrival at the hotel, water, after a long day travelling. However the manager of the Italian restaurant, Ibrahim, looked after us very well that evening, he helped us to relax and the food was delicious. We also loved the Japanese restaurant. The tiramisu in Beef and Reef was wonderful. Breakfasts were excellent with a huge choice, eggs cooked any way you would like. Having a peaceful adults only pool was lovely, one could stay there all day reading and enjoying a snack. My biggest criticism of the swimming pools (there are 3) is that there are no hand rails, just ladders to get in and out of the pool. There are gentle steps going into the pool but I have balance issues so really need to hold onto something to get in and out of the pool. Other guests kindly helped me. So if you have weak legs this hotel isn’t ideal. It would be very easy to have one rail in the adult only pool by the steps. We found the concierge very helpful, all the staff were charming with the exception of the Tapas bar, we were told the restaurant was full when it was clearly empty! Would go again if hand rails into the pool were installed.

Absolutely amazing place. Everything was perfect. We stayed in one of the villas & possibly one of the most luxurious places we’ve ever stayed. Every single member of staff went above & beyond but a special Thankyou must go to Yassine, Khawla & Oussama. They are a credit to the hotel.

We had another wonderful stay at the Fairmont Taghazout for the third time, and we can’t wait to return next year! As a family of four, including our 3-year-old twin girls, we always feel right at home here. The heated pool is perfect for the kids, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room with a stunning sea view was perfect for relaxing, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. We’d especially like to thank Adil Kherrouba, who made our mornings even more special with his warm hospitality. Highly recommend this beautiful resort!

Beautiful hotel with really lovely staff. We arrived at the hotel on 21st November for a week and were given a warm welcome, a cooled wet flannel and a local drink. Check in was quick and we were shown where our room was on a plan of the site. On arriving at our room we were pleasantly surprised to see a stunning view of the beach and Atlantic Ocean, on a large balcony, straight in front of us. We had two queen size beds a lovely bathroom with a large bath and a separate shower cubicle. I use a mobility scooter as I can’t walk far or stand for very long and there was plenty of room for it in our room. The beach bar could be seen from our room and it’s monitored by the security staff who are on duty 24/7. It was easily accessible for me on my scooter. There were plenty of sun beds available and the hotel wasn’t very busy so this was the case all around the beach and pool areas. The bar-staff were very attentive and move parasols as needed, brought drinks etc. The beach is beautiful, clean and tidy. Great for surfing and body boarding which my husband loved. Camels and horses frequent the beach, give rides and paddle in the sea. They are lovely to watch. The hotel has four restaurants. All good but like other reviews we were not so impressed by the Tapa wine bar. Service was poor, food nice though. I asked for ice three times for my wine and they keep saying of course but it didn’t come until the third time of asking. The other three restaurants were all really good and no problem with the service there. At Beef and Reef there is a live local band Wednesday to Saturdays and they are really good. Coldplay, Pink Floyd etc. Well worth booking when they’re there. The food is expensive (you can only book bed and breakfast) so be prepared. There is a very accessible promenade and it leads to other hotels. We did have two nights out to dinner at one of them. Following the promenade to the left you can access a beach side restaurant which sells food, smoothies, non alcoholic drinks and lovely crepes. It’s right by where the surf schools are so you can watch the surfers which is fun. The hotel pools are nice. One is adult only (we never used that one), water was really cold. There is also a family pool by the Beef and Reef the big pool is also cold (some of the sun beds are stood in the shallow water which when it’s very hot might be nice) there is also a long thin pool ideal to swim lengths, this was much warmer, even I got in and that’s saying something! There’s a kids club which looks really good (but we didn’t have any kids with us so no actual experience of it) it has a great outdoor play area too and looks like a big club house inside. Housekeeping as mentioned in other reviews is very hit and miss. We never knew when or if they were coming. When they did come they did a good job but they took water glasses away and never returned them, same with towels, bath mats etc. we had to ring reception to ask for replacements. They took the cutlery away for f
