Talybont B&B

This was our first stay at the Talybont B&B while visiting friends and family nearby and what a treat it was too. We booked the Hideaway, which is tucked away in the delightful riverside garden and it was seriously fabulous - very romantic too. Stylish, modern but cosy and comfortable with aircon to keep you cool in the summer and an electric fire for some extra warmth if you need it in the winter. Beautifully furnished and decorated internally and a lovely relaxing private patio area complete with bbq and garden furniture. Phil and Alison are the best hosts, super-friendly and knowledgeable about the area and they make a mean breakfast too. The menu choices and quality of food are right up there and a Statham breakfast sets you up perfectly for a day exploring the stunning Snowdonia countryside (which is not to be missed if you’re there). The B&B itself is fabulous and set in such a stunning riverside location, even if we didn’t have family to visit nearby we’d definitely be returning. All in all we had a wonderfully relaxing three-night stay and can’t thank Alison and Phil enough for their welcoming hospitality.

My family of 10 (3 generations) stayed in three of the bedrooms at the same time this summer and had the most amazing time. Four nights and five days was the plan, but we didn’t want to go home because we were so chilled and settled. This was ‘base camp’ while some of us went caving (in the slate mines) and to the beach. Four of us walked up Mount Snowdon, using the Llanberis Path, around an hour drive away. Alison and Phil are super hosts, with warm and brilliant hospitality. They helped plan our trip, advising on which rooms would be ideal. My disabled parents has step free access to their spacious twin bedroom. My sister, her husband and my nephew had the other ground floor bedroom which had garden access and was very spacious. Our loft bedroom was huge, allowing my wife and I to share space with our three little boys. The shower had brilliant pressure and was just what was needed after a day waking Snowdonia. The breakfasts were incredible with lots on offer and cooked to perfection! -some of the best food we ate while in Wales! We loved spending time together as a family in the garden, by the river and by the fire, playing games, eating and drinking together. It was a magical week and we wish we had allowed more time to chill and explore.

We are just leaving after 4 lovely nights here. The accommodation is in a beautiful setting, and the decor is tasteful but cosy. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Included were all the amenities stated and essential for a pleasant stay. But the many extra little touches made it more special, for example easy access to our own mini fridge & a separate wash cloth for taking off make up. We have just had a 3 night stay there and what a hidden gem this is peaceful the chalet and grounds are of the highest quality the host Phil and Alison are great very down to earth people on hand if needed

Tripadvisor needs more stars to accurately rate this gem of a place. Nestled in a quite spot next to the stream and off the main road, you are instantly welcomed like an old friend. Room was spotless and is well equipped (including a boot warmer) with a huge selection of hot drinks and biscuits. Shower amazing. We stayed in the twin but was a little jealous of the double which has its own little private garden space. The breakfasts are stunning. Full welsh breakfast was lovely but the omelette was the best thing I’ve tasted in a long time. Phil and Alison are fabulous hosts, along with Lottie and Molly, 2 of the most well behaved dogs I’ve ever met and very much an addition to the place. In fact I’m gutted they are fully booked for the summer as I can’t wait to go back.

Well what can I say we stayed here in the twin room as we were here touring on our Motorcycles for the weekend and the hosts were fantastic the rooms were immaculate and comfortable and the food was just perfect and the gardens were lovely thank you so much we cannot wait to return
