It’s not often I look forward to writing reviews these days (everyone wants one) but this simply must be highlighted. From the moment we arrived, we felt an overwhelming feeling of calm and comfort. Damith and his small team are exceptional at providing that no-nonsense service that just makes you feel special. The decor of the property is beautiful and the rooms are included in that. The garden is gorgeous and leads directly onto the ocean - I think the smell of the sea and sound of the crashing waves just add to the ambience. I could genuinely write pages on the food - it was outrageously good. A small menu (which I much prefer) but enough variety to cater for all tastes. If I could have bundled the chef into my suitcase and brought him home with me, I would have done! Communication with the staff is excellent, even before you arrive, and they can arrange transport to and from the airport at no notice. If you want somewhere that is a true haven of relaxing comfort in the Galle/Unawatuna area, seriously, look no further - you will not be disappointed.

Spectacular relaxation stay! Direct access to the beach, yummy food & friendly staff who are very helpful in any ways. Food portions are very generous. Perfect spot for kids to play at the beach and have a bit of shade at noon time. Great for couples too. Will highly recommend Satin Doll to my family and friends and def will come back!

This boutique hotel is a true gem! The location is breathtaking, offering gorgeous ocean views and a small, tranquil beach perfect for relaxation. The beautifully landscaped garden, with its shady trees, provides the ideal spot to unwind. The rooms are top-notch—spacious, well-appointed, and complemented by a fantastic pool. The food was outstanding, with every meal a delightful experience. The staff were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always eager to assist. If you’re seeking a stunning getaway with excellent service, delicious cuisine, and superb amenities, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to return!

This is not the greatest place to stay, in fact would be average at best, rooms are cramped not very clean the bathrooms are very poor indeed, lots of Mozzies in rooms, in fact it’s very tired indeed, food and drinks are too high price but again just basic home cooking average food. This place is way overcharging on rooms and food if you compare what’s available in vicinity

Exquisite 5 unit boutique hotel sitting on a well-appointed 1 acre garden directly on the Indian Ocean . Professional and friendly staff , luxurious and comfy beds and furniture , a well-stocked library , all rooms open to ocean view , gourmet breakfasts and dinners prepared by their talented chef . Flexible dinner hours . The fresh fruits and seafood are out of this world . Located close to Galle Fort , Turtle Beach and other activities . Secluded from the noise of the street , quiet nights . Great place to relax and be pampered . Definitely 5 star !

Satin Doll is a tranquil spot on the Indian ocean just a little south of Galle. It is a small boutique hotel with excellent service and even better food. Our room was spacious and stylish with lots of seating options to relax and enjoy the Indian ocean atmosphere. We love the characters around this area and had lots of fun with our TukTuk driver taking us to authentic places including Habaraduwa, Kogalla beach and Kogalla lake.

We stayed 8 nights at the Satin Doll. The location and the entire team is amazing and they took great care of us to make our stay perfectly comfortable. The hotel is very good located and we had silence (no party’s). Galle and other beaches along the coast are easy to reach in case you like beach hopping ir sightseeing. Our Villa was big and the interior shows love to detail. The food is amazing as well and we had a great time. A special thank you to the team Damith, Channa, Dilan and the rest of the Satin Doll Team. You Rock!!!

An absolutely fantastic piece of paradise. We stayed 4 nights and it was perfect in every way. The villa , pool and garden area are all beautiful, the beach is right in front of you with the stick fisherman . The owners made us feel so special nothing was too much trouble. The staff are fabulous and the food was incredible. Spoil yourself here you won't regret it. The best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka.

Wow ! Where do I start what a place , from entering the gate from the road we were welcomed like royalty. The villas are set in a beautiful garden with a pool and lovely furniture to sunbathe , read , relax and dine . The breakfast is the best a la carte I’ve eaten , cooked to order and plenty of it . The staff are amazing and were on hand day and night we felt very safe . They even did my laundry before leaving ! Also an iron and hairdryer were supplied when asked for . Thanks to all at satin doll for making our stay so perfect.
