Ocean Breeze Resort Khaolak

Everything about the restaurant was wonderful and the atmosphere and the food was excellent the manager was a great person the staff were excellent nothing is a problem right on the beach ⛱😎the cocktails were amazing two happy hours in one day what more can people ask 😀😉

We had a wonderful time at Ocean Breeze two weeks ago in April 2022. Travelling into Phuket from Singapore was a breeze. Even with PCR tests at the airport, the hotel took great care of us while we waited for the results. Shout out to Adi who supports the beach bar, he really took care of us and our F&B +++ needs during our stay there. The amazing team at Ocean Breeze is led by Thomas. When you meet him, it explains why the team there makes your stay just so wonderful. So apart from great views, beautiful sun sets, comfortable rooms and beds, with OMG long sleeps (because its so comfortable in the bed), we really thrived because of the people at Ocean Breeze. A charming 3-star resort. We were looking for something more affordable and still on the beach, as Moracea had become too expensive for us. Well, we couldn't have picked a more beautiful place. Such great value for the money, and right on the seashore. Absolutely gorgeous. The gardens are immaculate. A quick 8-minute walk and you're right in the middle of town, with restaurants and shops along the way. There's also a supermarket on the corner, when reaching the main road. The rooms are clean, fresh, and bright, but there's still room for additional improvement/renovation especially the showers which were spacious, clean and functional, but a little run down. It didn't bother us though at all, just stating the fact. Our room didn't have USB ports, so I'm glad we brought our travel adapters. Not sure if the other rooms have been upgraded with those yet. The pools are spotless, but the one ladder is a bit rickety. The lounger area is impeccable but a bit on the small side, so it does get a tad crowded. Reserving a spot with towels etc. is not permitted (thank goodness), so be early-ish to get your spot. We did notice a lot of smokers but were able to avoid them mostly. Anyway, there are bean bags on the beach which also get some partial shade. June, the FB manager, and his team were splendid and consistently went above and beyond. There's a 'Happy Hour' twice a day and I was able to try some cocktails that I'd never had. Ridiculously cheap and no holding back on the ingredients/alcohol lol! We asked for a tuna sandwich that wasn't even on the menu and Chef Duke and his kitchen crew made it possible - nothing was too much. It was an absolute treat to be spoilt by them and treated to such delicious food. Everything was fresh and the daily evening barbeque was exactly what I had hoped for, regarding the various dishes and the astounding quality. We did go out for dinner now and again but preferred to eat there. There was a light/fire show on Saturday evening. One needed to make a reservation and it was a treat. Oh, and the sunsets are stunning. The restaurant has tables situated on the beach as well, and when the tide is in, the waves lapping on the shore are just a couple of meters away. The lovely ladies at the reception did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible and the cleaning team was amazing and continually obliging, always supplying us with towels, bottles of water, and just whatever was needed. Yes, there is a new hotel being worked on next door, but the occasional construction noise really didn't bother us at all. David and his crew are doing a great job. We can highly recommend this resort and look forward to coming again soon.

We were staying at a different Hotel but we walked along the beach and enjoyed Lunch, Dinner and Cocktails whilst watching the sunset. The food was amazing, cooked fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive.

Das Hotel kann ich nicht weiterempfehlen: 1) Klimaanlage lässt sich nicht regulieren 2) Im Zimmer gab es eine Verbindungstür zum Nebenzimmer-somit sehr hellhörig 3) überteuerte Preis für Getränke und Speisen 4) Frühstück sehr überschaubar mit täglichem hartem Brot 5) vom Balkon sieht man nur Müll und bruchreife Hütten 6) Strandliegen sind bereits gegen 7 Uhr fast alle mit Handtüchern belegt 7) am Abreisetag um 6 Uhr gab es weder kaltes noch warmes Wasser zum Duschen

Das Ocean Breeze Resort Khao Lak hat 4 Sterne in der Landeskategorie. Es ist aber keinesfalls einem 4* Resort würdig. Eher kann man es mit 2-3 Sternen bewerten. Das Hotel unter österreichischer Leitung hat die besten Jahre hinter sich. Alles wirkt alt und abgewohnt. Was grundsätzlich nicht schlimm wäre, wenn die Sauberkeit und der Service stimmen würden. Aber daran fehlt es leider auch. Wir stellten in unseren wenigen Tagen fest, dass hier hauptsächlich deutschsprachige Gäste im Alter von Ü60 Urlaub machen. Wahrscheinlich handelt es sich um Stammgäste, denen das Hotel zusagt. In der gesamten Anlage wird geraucht, ebenfalls nicht mehr zeitgemäß, da es in anderen Hotels Raucherzonen gibt. Die Lage am Strand von Khao Lak ist sehr gut. Man erreicht die Hauptstraße mit unzähligen Restaurants und Läden in wenigen Gehminuten. Auf eigene Kosten und ohne wenig Hilfe wechselten wir das Hotel zu einem nahegelegenen 4* Hotel, was das Ocean Breeze Resort in allen Bereichen um Längen schlägt. Wir hatten ein Bungalow-Zimmer. Das Zimmer machte auf den ersten Blick einen guten Eindruck. Aber bei genauerem Hinsehen, war es dreckig und verlebt. Wir haben uns von den Bildern auf den gängigen Webseiten und im Angebot des Reiseveranstalters täuschen lassen. Das Badezimmer war eher klein, aber ausreichend. Leider war es ebenfalls dreckig. Überall befanden sich viele Abflussfliegen, Mosiktos und Insekten. Dagegen wurde seitens des Hotels nichts unternommen. Moskitospray oder einen Moskitostecker sollte man bei einem „4* Resort“ erwarten. Wir haben uns dann selbst welches besorgt. Unsere Klimaanlage funktionierte 2 1/2 Tage nicht, sodass unser Zimmer immer ca. 27/28 Grad warm war. Das Frühstück ist spärlich und nicht abwechslungsreich. Es gibt Säfte, teilweise muss man raten um welchen Geschmack es sich handelt. Ansonsten Aufschnitt, Käse, Eierspeisen, Obst und Croissants. Die wenigen thailändischen Gerichte sind alle kalt. Alles ist wenig ansprechend angerichtet. Für uns war es nichts. Meiner Meinung nach ist es auch nicht einem 4* Hotel würdig. Der Frühstücksraum ist dreckig. Unsere defekte Klimaanlage zeigten wir mehrfach an der Rezeption an. Uns wurde versichert, dass sich darum gekümmert wird, leider ohne Verbesserung. Unser Anliegen wurde freundlich abgenickt. Wir mussten uns immer um die Angelegenheit kümmern, seitens des Hotels kam niemand auf uns zu. Das fühlte sich an, als ob wir hingehalten oder versetzt werden. Am zweiten Abend gegen 19:30 Uhr kontaktieren wir die Reiseleitung. Danach war plötzlich reges Treiben in unserem Zimmer. Die Zimmertemperatur wurde dann mit drei unterschiedlichen Thermometern gemessen, eines davon für die Badewanne, eines für Fleisch. Kann man sich nicht ausdenken! Neue Gäste werden mit „your Passport please“ begrüßt, das Frühstücksbuffet wird mit „Lookie lookie“ vorgestellt. Die Badetücher werden nur auf Anfrage, allerhöchstens ein Mal am Tag gewechselt, was bei einem Hotel mit direktem Strandzugang und Pool eher ungewöhnlich i
