Absolutely wonderful traditional ryokan with beautiful onsens and delicious kaiseki. I enjoyed every moment of staying there. Soundsystem in library is awesome! That's a perfect sample of japanese hospitality!

Full of details, this is the most satisfying hot spring hotel I have stayed in. There was a small episode when checking out. They refunded us 1000yan each, saying that it was because the hot spring was closed for a while, and we didn't notice it at all, haha

A hot spring hotel worth experiencing. Take the Nohi bus from Takayama, get off at HO41, and the hotel is next to the platform, which is very convenient. The waiter explained in detail. I stayed here for two nights, and basically took a private bath. No reservation is required, and I can take a bath every time I go. It is very comfortable. The private bath is generally recommended to take 30 minutes, which is enough time. The food is very good. Dinner and breakfast are very rich and varied. Since I stayed for two nights, the store prepared a completely different recipe very carefully the next day, which is good. At noon, we went to the nearby Mokka Mokka for lunch. It is a very quiet restaurant with good food and affordable prices. The hotel has free coffee from 8 to 10 am every day, and you can take a bath from 2:30 pm. Most of them are Chinese tourists. The return trip is also the same platform, 10:15. Today, due to heavy snow, the bus was 15 minutes late, but basically everyone was able to get a seat. Overall, we had a very happy two nights.

Sun Jiulang is a family hot spring hotel. It is indeed very retro. Check-in at 3 pm is very strict. When checking in, the clerk will introduce the hotel check-in precautions one-on-one. There are not many rooms in the whole hotel, and there are few guests. There are only one or two people in the indoor and outdoor public baths each time, and they are almost reserved. The outdoor family bath is also good, but there is no place to take a shower. After changing clothes, you can go directly into the hot spring. There is a place to rinse in the indoor bath. When I stayed in Fukuchi Hot Spring this time, my mother was not feeling well and did not go downstairs for breakfast. When I took the children to have breakfast, I asked if I could help my mother pack some food to eat in the room. The clerk said that I could only take a small bowl of porridge and a piece of salmon back. I couldn’t pack some pickles. 😮💨 Next time I go to Fukuchi Hot Spring, I should try Yumoto Nagaza.

Stayed in the most satisfying snow hot spring hotel in my life♨️ If you depart from Takayama, the best time is 13:40 in the afternoon, take HO41, and the hotel is opposite the station (this is the most important reason why I chose the hotel, no need to walk a lot) Bath time: 3 pm to 9 am the next day, after 9 am is cleaning time, private bath does not require reservations, outdoor family bath is also first come first served! I just had breakfast and left the hotel. Luckily, I booked the cheapest Japanese-style room a week before departure. The hotel is well maintained, the room is standard, the service is really meticulous, and there are all kinds of small details that make you feel at home. But the most attractive thing is that their hot springs have a hot spring smell (I said it was sulfur, my teammates said it was iron). It was very comfortable after soaking. I personally feel that the outdoor bath has a unique flavor, especially since it has just snowed in the past few days. The view outside the window when I woke up early today made me feel that it was worth it. If you are not in a hurry and the weather is good, I suggest going to Shinhotaka. You can be in the snow country on the top of the mountain by flying for half an hour and taking the cable car.

Actually the hotel is right at the entrance of this bus stop, but unfortunately the communication was not clear. Also, not every bus stops at this stop, so you need to pay special attention. The hotel itself is a standard hot spring hotel, and the open-air bath is also good. But the food is too salty, I don't know if it's because of different eating habits.

Take bus HO41 from Takayama and get off. The hotel is just across the station. You can see the snow-capped mountains outside the room window. The hotel has three private soups and three public soups. No reservation is required. The outdoor soup is great. The kaiseki dinner is not amazing, but the taste is OK and it is filling.

The only problem is: there is no shower outdoors, you need to go back indoors to take a shower. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are both very good. The dining room is very large. It is good not to eat in the room, and the room will not smell! The hotel's service staff is warm and friendly, and it is a pleasant stay experience.
