Ulasan Fairfield by Marriott Taiyuan South

Excellent location being closest branded hotel to the Taiyuan South station where high speed train runs. It is just a short walking distance away from the exit. It is however quite a far walk from the metro exit of the same name due to design of the station walk path. Breakfast is excellent, has plenty of variety. This is a business hotel, so front desk won’t likely be very helpful with your travel advise needs. The room itself is fine and fairly big, but there are details that can be better. For example separator of room and bathroom that can’t be fully closed. Luckily I was staying alone so it didn’t bother me too much.

Location of the hotel is good which is near the highspeed rail station within walking distance, take less than 10 min on foot. Service of both front counter and house keeping staff are attentive and responsive. Unfortunately, the aircon control temp was preset to 25 degree by the hotel and cannot be adjusted. We were told that it is their policy and can't do much by the staff. As a result, it was not comfortable especially sleeping at night. We asked for an electric fan, but it didn't work until they brought in a third one. Some of the hotel rooms are equipped with only two power points and we got to request for a change to another room, hence quite a hassle shifting room and can't sleep very well due to the temp control limitation. It is a pity.

The pictures probably make this place look a bit nicer than it is. The staff were good and the room was spacious, but the room could have been a bit cleaner. While it’s very close to Taiyuannan Railway Station, it’s is really far from the metro station with the same name.

I travelled to Shanxi and Shaanxi in late October early November last year and this was my favourite of the hotels where I stayed. Literally steps to the high speed rail, I stayed there the night before my day outing to Pingyao. The room was spacious, clean and comfy and they even provided a bowl of snacks which was a really nice touch. Best of all are the staff, honestly the best ever, every one of them, their kindness and warm smiles cheering me up from the moment I checked in to when I left.

The front desk staff are not friendly and helpful. Even took a long time to find my booking. Not experienced enough and not listening to feedback.

Large room, breakfast was excellent with lots of varieties. All foods taste fresh and not too oily. Location is very close to high-speed railway station.

It is just a seven minute walk from Taiyuan South Station. Big and modern, my room was bright and light. The breakfast was excellent, and there is a shopping mall with all the stores you would expect to see just across the road

We enjoyed the spacious room with a city view and an excellent breakfast. It was quiet at night. Although the hallway could smell the cigarette scent, the room was fine.

Second time I've been to this hotel, they have coffee, the breakfast is good. Also I asked for a humidifier and they brought it. In general it's a good hotel. Very close to the train station.

the hotel is only 20mins travel from the airport which is wonderful for my business trip because i need to go to my customer located nearby. the services and facilities are also better than other local hotel. it is my third time staying this hotel, will definitely choose the same hotel on my next trips.

Amazing location, right next to taiyuan south rail station. But it is far from town. It is great if you are just catching the fast train. Service is fine but nothing extraordinary. It is very clean. Spread at breakfast is decent but no coffee. If you need coffee, don't come here

Very convenient hotel. Staff was indifferent, hotel facilities were not well maintained, cleaning and hygiene somehow not matched with the group’s standards.
