Shanxi Hotel

Excellent hotel with very beautiful decorations! Many thanks for good service

Impressive traditional style buildings. Convenient location, close to the pedestrian shopping streets. Friendly and welcoming staff. One of the first 5-star hotels, Shanxi Hotel certainly could benefit from better maintenance. The ceiling of the bathroom in our room has significant mould marks, and the door frame appeared to have cracked. One would wonder how these could escape maintenance inspections. The fitness room on the 11th floor certainly lacks use and the range and layout of what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Despite the above, an overall pleasant stay.

Historic hotel located in the heart of Taiyuan. The service is appropriate for its hotel classification and the price paid. The room is slightly small, but this is compensated by particularly comfortable beds. Free on-site parking and complimentary access to an adjacent historic monument.

Beautiful hotel and great location. However compared to previous hotels we stayed at previously town the staff not as helpful as previous

Amazing stay. The hotel seems to come alive in the evening with the lights capturing your attention. It gives off the vibe of being in Chongqing. The hotel rooms are fantastic as well. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. There’s a mini museum in the hotel showcasing its history. Although everything is written in Chinese, taking photos to translate or having someone explain it helps you understand the history of the area before what we see today. There are many excellent food places nearby, including a park that has a side entrance. Thank you for this incredible experience.

Location is good and the hotel looks great from outside but inside is a little bit outdated and needs some improvement.

its very beautiful traditional building from the outside. but the interior is modern. its in the center, easy to access to crowded and animated places. At nightime, the place shine beautifullly, a picture snapshot spot. The room is spaciouse, otherwise it is quiet expensive.

Great place to stay, so close to everything, breakfast was great staff were helpful. Bed was super comfortable and big. Beautiful building night and day. The bathroom was a little small and there was a hole in the roof and a little mould. That was the only small thing I could pick.

The location is excellent, the hotel is little old, other than then all good. we do have time to book the on side famous restaurants
