GGuest UserCould not fault this place. We had booked a bigger room, but it was on the main street, so decided not to take the risk. A slight downgrade was organised swiftly. Room very comfortable, with a nice big bathroom. A well equipped gym where I seemed to be the only user. Breakfast passable with toast, fruits, cereal, coffee and baked goods. We extended our stay to 4 nights. The service at the front desk, room servicing, breakfast was exemplary. The room maid left me a lovely book marker as she saw my lonely planet. (btw, LP mentions a restaurant at the start of the bu xing jie; I wouldn't bother).Hotel is 1km west of Tiyuguan metro station on line 2. Line 1 yet to open. Two stations north brings you 400m from Bell Tower Street, a bu xing jie where there are heaps of great eating places. One station north of Tiyuguan, then east as far as possible gets you to the old Taiyuan train station. Buses 308 or 804 (slow trip) gets you to JinCi Si; well worth the trip even just to see a 3,000yo tree

It’s my first time staying at Kempinski. It has a strong old-fashioned atmosphere, which young people may find a bit old-fashioned. But the service and hardware facilities are very good, and the cost-effectiveness of staying in the off-season is very high [heart]
Location: Close to Changfeng Street subway station, about 100 to 200 meters away, and also close to Binhe Expressway, very convenient for driving and public transportation.
Decoration style: It's quite standard. In the eyes of those who like it, it is steady and elegant, and it is the result of years of accumulation. Those who don't like it think it is old-fashioned and has no novelty [laughing and crying]. But the furniture is of high quality, with a bit of old money style.
Hardware facilities: Impeccable, with a gym and swimming pool, all of which are large in size. The room is big enough. I stayed in a deluxe view room. I like the layout very much. There are huge floor-to-ceiling windows, three separate washing areas, and a bathtub next to the window, so you can have a clear view of the night view. The interior is also unambiguous, with electric curtains, smart switches, top-tier brand sanitary ware, wall-mounted toilets and the quality of the toiletries are also online. The most important thing is that the bedding is very comfortable, the mattress and pillow are moderately soft and hard, and I slept soundly [laughing and crying]
Service: This is even better. Free drinks in the minibar, turndown service, cultural and creative gifts when leaving the hotel, all kinds of problems can be handled quickly, the service staff in all parts of the hotel are polite, and the happiest thing is that the room type was upgraded for free [laughing and crying]
Hygiene: Every detail is handled very well, and there are no blind spots.
Price: Checked in on March 9th, 546 excluding breakfast, upgraded to a deluxe room with a view, free drinks in the minibar, very good value for money.

Wwilliam-lvLow-key name, luxurious connotation. Although it is called an apartment, it is no less than any global chain five-star hotel. From the decoration to the service, it is very considerate and heart-warming. Although the winter in the north is very cold, from the moment you enter the door , from the welcome to the little girl who checked in at the front desk, she was all smiles, considerate and very comfortable. The facilities in the room are very carefully arranged. The wellness center is clean and tidy with advanced facilities. The water in the swimming pool is also very clear. The enthusiastic Ms. He took me to visit the wellness center and introduced the use of fitness equipment. Her professionalism and enthusiasm left me with a lasting impression. I have a good impression. The breakfast in the restaurant is rich in variety and combines Chinese and Western styles. It also takes into account Shanxi characteristics. TTheTravelShowThe hotel itself is located out in the far Northeast of the city, in a quiet location, but easily accessible by the fast roads. It is opposite a shopping mall with everything you need such as coffee shop, fast food etc. Conveniece store also just across the street. Check-in was easy and straight-forward and the hotel is clean and modern. The room was well-appointed with everything I needed and the best thing was the amazing bed, which was super-comfortable!
Breakfast is excellent and has both Western and Chinese buffet options. Plenty of choice here!
Service was fantastic for this stay. The second day we had a power blackout for an hour or so because of engineers across the street. The staff dealt with it very well and made sure I was looked after. Swimming pool is good too. Recommend.

WWinston-1I booked a suite at Shanxi Hotel. Oh boy, what a stay!!! The hotel looks like a courtyard. The receptionist and the bellboy were all very cordial. They carried my luggage to the room for free. Our room was in another building so they advised us we could check out without coming back to the reception desk again. Just leave the keys in the room. The room was quite spacious with lots of amenities. I am very surprised they offer in-room laundry detergent and electric cloth dryer for hanging clothes. They consider every aspect of my stay and I would give them 5 out of 5 stars.

GGuest UserDuring the May Day holiday, I went to Taiyuan and booked Yuantuo Hotel online. The hotel is in a prime location, right in Liuxiang, with Gulou Street at the door, making shopping very convenient. The hotel hardware is very good, with smart toilets, electric curtains, smart electric kettles, robot delivery, large projection, and the decoration is also very regular. Souvenirs were given when checking in, making the guests feel very warm. The breakfast is very good, with many varieties, Shanxi specialty meals, and good service. The front desk service is enthusiastic and the procedures are fast.
The shortcomings are that there is no toilet in the reception hall on the first floor, which is hard to understand. The beer and fruit plate gift package sent to the room was asked twice, and it was said to be on the fourth floor outside, and it was not found in the end. Since it is free, why not give it to the hotel? The smart toilet and kettle should be posted with instructions for use, and older guests don’t know how to use it. The projection cannot watch live TV, and it is basically paid, and the availability is not high. I called the front desk at 10 o'clock in the evening, but no one answered. I asked the next day, and the front desk said it was impossible. The customer service was also very polite, but I always felt uncomfortable. I hope the hotel can improve the details and upgrade the service to make the guests more satisfied. Overall it is still very good. I hope the hotel will get better and better.

BBarbaraD.The location to the hotel is really something, but luckily the hotel staff came to pick us up from where the taxi stopped. The room was okay but in terms of cleanliness, there's still a lot to be done especially in the bathroom. If I were staying for longer it would be a problem using the wc but since it was just a night to catch a flight I'm not too mad. The bathroom was spacious enough and the room as well even though there were two beds, which was good. The overall stay was okay, we had to go back into town and the lovely Mr Lee was very helpful, he drove us back to the roadside to get a taxi and when we got back luckily we met him after the map took us to a wrong route and drove us back to the hotel. The airport was about 6 minutes from the hotel and even though we both had different departure times, one early in the morning and myself late afternoon, we were both taken to the airport as well. I think if the road to the hotel is fixed and they can do some real scrubbing and cleaning it would be a really good place.
