The location was great and the room was very decent. The only thing I wished was for the design of the bathroom to be a bit better. Other than that, the service was good. The staff in general were quite helpful. Would come stay here again if I come to Taichung.

This was my first time staying in a hotel and I didn’t pay for a toothbrush set.
Driving can only be parked in nearby roadside parking spaces. Although the hotel has provided information on nearby parking lots, the parking lot is close to the morning market, so it is very crowded early in the morning (vegetable market trucks will park randomly in the parking lot)

First of all, the staff were friendly and helpful to introduce and explain the rules to me, this is one of the things I like so much. The lobby resting/meeting area was clean and tidy, which very nice for us to hang out and chit chat over there. There is also a living room with television, piano and dining table outside of the rooms as well, which I think is very nice. The room is clean, neat, not to mention the bathroom and toilet are clean as well. Overall it is good, very cheap price for a bunk bed, my staying experience was good.
I will recommend it to my friend who is visiting Taichung for a short Trip.

Palmer hotel's location is very central, near taroko mall, Taichung park, Taichung train station and miyahahara ice cream shop. Palmer hotel offers buffet breakfast and also has a self laundry - coin operated same floor with the buffet. Room is big, 2 elevators working and quick checkin and check-out process. The location is great. However, the facility is definitely rundown and need a big time facelift which include rooms and dinning area. The room has bad odor, smoke smell. The TV wasnt working. We asked the staff and they tried different TVs but still didnt work until they changed our room. Breakfast is ok. The pricing is reasonable but certainly not the overall facilities.

KKuen HawThe hotel is near fengjia night market. All toiletries are provided in the hotel room. There is a lounge with complimentary snacks and hot beverages. There is also a laundry area for you to wash your clothes.

AAnonymous UserLocation - I’m not sure if we just missed out on what’s nearby. But we did walk on the sides, we were searching around of what’s there to see. We didn’t see much, like we realized after walking for a few minutes that we just found the convenient store which is kinda far if that was the nearest available (or again, there could be one the other side we don’t know haha).
So after walking around, and realizing there’s nothing much to see. We already booked an Uber going to the night market.
It wasn’t that far from the HSR Station. I couldn’t remember the exact distance and travel time. But if I find it far I’d normally remember it and say it.
Service - it was an easy check-in and check-out. Though, I almost forgot to get a receipt. Had to proactively ask for one. Luckily we decided to stay for a bit after checking out, we remembered it and got to request for it.
I like how they already asked upon checking in if we need a room cleaning service. That was convenient.
The breakfast was so so (on my personal taste bud). Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that bad.
I love the room the most! We were happy about how spacious it is. And it has an AI box which we loved. The bathtub has a tv, the shower area was spacious, the ambience of the room, hallways and lobby. The free snacks. The brand of the body wash and conditioner. The free Nescafe machine in the lobby.
I’d definitely recommend it and I’d stay here again.
(Though I still have a pending concern that I have to figure out myself, cause the amount showing in the invoice was different from the amount showing on tha app. Haven’t checked how much was the final amount taken out on my card)

However it was worth it as it was a beautiful little space. Room was a little space but it was sufficient and cosy. Netflix was available. Bathroom was clean and big.
There was free flow wine for certain hours during one of the days. That was a plus.

Next, after office hours, the shutter roller of the front counter is closed, hence there will be no access to water dispenser. Maybe hotel should consider to install a water dispenser for stayers to refill water, etc

莎莎哈拉The service at Shuiyunduan is as excellent as ever. I stayed there in 2017 and visited again in 2024. The difference is that I brought three more children with me. Thank you to the guy at the counter for his thoughtfulness and making our stay very enjoyable.
The children like late night snacks and breakfast. The large spa bath in the room made us relax both physically and mentally. The parent-child game room also provides a place for lively children to meet new friends and play games together.
Great accommodation, recommended for families with children.

RRayレイnot bad, a 7/11 and a grocery store right across the road, 5 mins walk from here to the Suncake museum and multi events held nearby. Altogether extrodinary is the cleanliness and they also provide earplugs to prevent from snores from other roommates.
