Hotel - Motel Georges

The worst hotel we stayed in Canada and on top of that not even cheap. Rooms are smelly and noisy, bathroom, noisy, no kettle, no breakfast. Far too expensive. We paid 305 CAD. We regret any penny wasted in this place. We felt cheated and mistreated

I consider myself to be fairly well traveled. I have stayed at hotels and motels across the US, North and Central America and many countries in Europe. I do not consider myself to be picky or overly critical. After booking Motel Hotel George I did not have lofty expectations. Basically there was no other room in town so I set the bar low... well I should have lowered it even further. Hotel Motel George was the biggest dump I have ever stayed in. Yes, I was expecting Brady Bunch 1970's decor (I did see the pictures on their website) but I was not expecting the rest. First of all the owners did not speak English - which you could expect in French Quebec - but they didn't speak French either. I asked about/pointed at the little bar in the reception area. After shaking his head no I ascertained it was not open.... ever. There is a dumpy dining area off the reception area with dirty and worn puke green carpeting and dirty table clothes... like loaded with toast crumbs from the morning breakfast (which I found out the next day is for coffee/tea, cold cereal and white bread toasted with peanut butter or butter... thats it for 11.99! Or you can get a little styrofoam cup of coffee to go for only 2.50! Lol). We had asked if we could go in the room with our friends since the motel rooms were so god awful so we could play cards and have a drink we brought from our cooler. This was at about 6:40 pm. about 10 minutes later a woman (wife of owner?) came in and told us we had to leave, that they close at 7:00!! So we got out of the dump and went back to our even dumpier room. Additionally, there is not much in the immediate area to walk to unless you walk to the main town which is at least a 20 plus minute walk. And don' bother bringing your tennis court as there is no indoor tennis courts on property as advertised and the "adjacent" golf course is a good 10 to 15 minute drive! Do expect crappy internet, mold in the tiles in the bathroom, no locks on ground level windows, crummy tv channel selections and getting hassled by the ferry patrol when you try to get into the hotel parking lot as they think you are trying to skip the ferry line!

Nothing fancy but just fine. It is on the highway so if that's an issue ask for a room in the back. The owners are very nice and helpful. There is a lake behind the hotel that is great for swimming, shallow sandy bottom would be great for kids.

The hotel has a convenient location, with rooms on the second floor having a great view of the ferry and fiord. The stairs to the second floor are steep and there is no air conditioning in the room, therefore it can be very hot at night during hot days like those in July this year. The pillows are not great and overall the comfort level of the room is very limited.

GROSSE ARNAQUE - HOTEL A FUIR IMPERATIVEMENT Tout est nul, de l'accueil au logement jusqu'au petit déjeuner. Les draps des lits n'ont pas été changés. Présence de cheveux dans les draps. Accueil surréaliste qui associe incompétence et foutage de gueule. Chambre préhistorique incluse la robinetterie. Le petit déjeuner ne porte que le nom. Les nappes papier des tables n'ont pas été changées depuis le service de la veille. Les photos de l'hôtel sur le site web sont trompeuses et ne correspondent en rien à la réalité.

raramente recensisco. Lo faccio perché di fronte alla magnificenza, oppure per avvertire del degrado. questo è il caso dell'orrido. Una struttura vecchia e mal gestita e peggio dotata. se proprio dovete fermarvi, fatelo sapendo che equivale ad un esperienza pessima rispetto agli standard europei.
