We stayed here as a family of three (mother and two daughters). We were greeted politely when we arrived at the parking lot by car. The food was also very delicious. Many Japanese grandpas and grandmothers stayed there.

The building itself is old, so there are some problems with the facilities, but the staff are friendly and the location of the building is great. I go out on my bicycle from the hotel and spend time with my family around Lake Suwa. The breakfast was also very clean and satisfying.

Although it is not luxurious, I still feel very comfortable during this trip. After a full day of hiking in Nagano, I stayed in this hotel and took a free outdoor hot spring bath with lake view. I'm not a smoker so I requested a non-smoking room, but there were none available so I ended up in a smoking room. As expected, the smell permeated the room. It was disappointing that there wasn't a single bottle of water in the fridge and the air purifier was rattling noisily, probably because it was broken.
