We stayed overnight on a tour of the Gold Country towns. This is a charming historic hotel and the room was clean and comfy! Friendly staff. Will recommend it to people! The town is cute with many shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

We came for a Birthday get together and was my first visit as well as my husband’s. Bar staff was outstanding as were the cocktails. We also LOVED the Copper room what a treat! Dinner was also delicious. We absolutely loved this hotel it is such a cozy and inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!!❤️

Charming old feel with modern touches. Great restaurant and bar with a super cool Speakeasy with amazing drinks in the basement. Quiet with small but comfy beds. Walkable to tons of tasting rooms and all the cute shops of downtown Sutter Creek.

Wow. my friend recommended this hotel. I spoke to a delightful gentleman who helped me select a room. It is definitely a boutique hotel. Upon arrival, I was greeted by numerous employees! Pedro, front desk, was so kind and helpful on arrival. He suggested other nearby restaurants too. I was so surprised with our room. Our room was charming and immaculate! To our surprise, Pedro suggested coffee, tea and muffins in the morning that was complimentary the next morning in the hotel restaurant. Nice touch. We did enjoy a glass of wine in the beautiful rustic bar. We even played Trivia at the Speak Easy next door. Bottom line! I LOVED this darling hotel and will certainly return! I usually do not go out of my way writing reviews since I am a huge Marriott follower, but I really enjoyed my experience!

Really nice Hotel. The employees are very friendly. Room was nice and clean and the A/C worked great. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant good food and the service was perfect. The bar fills up early!!! The Copper is the place to go!! Speakeasy bar-big and crowed with people just having a good time. Highly recommend this hotel.

Reservations were placed several weeks in advance. I worked with Chris at the front desk, she was absolutly amazing. From making reservations, to actually checking in and getting us into our rooms, Chris was the main person there for both nights of our stay and I loved working with her. 10/10 she made us feel welcome and addressed any needs we had. This was hands down a better stay than my family and I have received from the big name brand hotels we normal stay at.

We came here for a little 1 night get away with the family. We came to the area to do the Rail Explorers in Amador County. We needed a place to stay and choose Hotel Sutter. We were delighted when we drove into town! It is the cutest town! Its like being in a Hallmark movie! The Main Street is filled with cute boutiques and restaurants, etc. The hotel was so cute inside. We did not eat anything at the hotel, but the rooms were really nice. I will say, we stayed in a room with 2 Murphy beds. Because of that, the beds were super squeaky, I thought I'd wake up the entire room every time I tossed and turned. Other than that though, it was a great stay. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were fluffy, the staff was nice and helpful. We went with my in-laws and at check-in they asked if they had any other rooms available, they let them take a look at 2 rooms and pick from them. We also went and hung out on the upper balcony at night to hang out as a family. It was just so nice and relaxing. We absolutely plan on coming back with more of the family! Thank you!

Great staff, historic charm, great restaurant and bar onsite, and great local vibe! Individual room layouts, wrought iron beds, historic architecture and fixtures. Right in the middle of downtown, local winery tasting rooms, music and fun on the weekends. Come visit Gold Country in Sutter Creek!

Very sweet place to stay. Nice room, quiet, good restaurant. The history of this location is remarkable. Early mining and American Indigenous history in this area is a fascinating subject and insightful. A special weekend. Plenty of opportunities to explore and learn about this phase of our history.
