I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, ideally located in the heart of the city. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed with great views. The facilities are excellent. The central location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!

This was the second time we stayed in this hotel, and the experience was always awesome. We really liked the room that we booked this time, and the vibes the view and the experience was good. Unfortunately I find the dishes during breakfast were quite bland and the choice was so limited, but we really like the relocations on the top floors, got really good views, and made the whole breakfast quite enjoyable. Regardless we will always recommend this hotel and definitely will stay here again in the future, 😁

While the hotel offers modern design, spacious rooms, and a gym for guests, there are a few areas that need attention to improve the overall experience. 🛋️ Ambience & Design: The hotel features a modern, artistic design that creates a trendy and visually appealing atmosphere. The lobby and communal areas are stylish, welcoming, and set a positive tone upon arrival. 🏨 Accommodation: The suite was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable for rest and relaxation. However, I encountered a few cleanliness issues that affected my overall experience: Cobwebs on the sliding door, which made the space feel neglected. Stained bedsheets, which were disappointing and did not meet expected cleanliness standards. These issues suggest that the hotel could benefit from improved attention to detail and housekeeping standards. 📍 Location: While the hotel is centrally located, it is next to an abandoned mall, which creates an unwelcoming, deserted vibe—particularly at night. This choice of location takes away from the convenience and appeal of staying here. 💪 Fitness & Facilities: While the hotel lacks a pool, it does have a gym that is well-maintained and offers a good way to unwind or maintain your fitness routine during your stay. This was a nice addition and added value to my experience. 🌟 Service: The staff members were professional, helpful, and friendly. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but with the hope that the hotel addresses these shortcomings to provide a more seamless and comfortable experience.

The room was clean and nice, However the sustainability efforts are lacking, I didn't need my towel to be changed daily and kept it on the rack, but yet it was changed every day. Once I came back to see all the lights and air-conditioning was on, likely running all day 10 am- 7pm + when I returned The lifts are super slow and only 1 coffee machine for the whole breakfast restaurant that needed addition of water all the days I was there

This hotel is quite economic for Harris’ level. There are pool, gym, and kids playground. The room is not that spacious but very comfortable for two persons. I requested for an iron and they delivered it to my room very quickly. They could do better for the restaurant, elevator, and the toilet — no bidet shower hence a little bit struggling for kids (i had some guest with kids coming over).

The room was very spacious with a good amount of lounging areas. The best part is the bathroom that felt so exquisite and luxurious with a beautiful large bathtub. Service was very quick when we requested for extra towels, as well as our hairdryer not working. The only thing lacking in this room is the power sockets. There is only 1 area with power sockets which is by the work desk. There are none by the beds. This was inconvenient.

Interesting art piece. The single bed is comfortable and well placed daily. Will definitely return on the next trip to surabaya.

I originally booked one of the renovated rooms and there is a bit of fiasco in the first day when I came back to the room it just reeked of raw sewage, almost like a pipe it exploded, and I immediately called housekeeping who sprayed but said that they would move me to a different suite which is the one in the photos. This is one of the more expensive suites and it’s basic and similar in comparison to the renovated suite. However, renovated suite looks like it was renovated back in 1990s as the other suite was much nicer and more modern Overall, the service was fantastic. The food in the breakfast was delicious. The pool is nice. I’ll be at a little quiet and overall it’s a great location if you wanna go out to different sites or if you just wanna cruise the mall or do some quick shopping 

Convenient location with shopping mall, the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast very much. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The facilities at the hotel are top-notch! The pool area is a beautiful oasis – a perfect place to relax. I also enjoyed the gym, which was well-equipped for a good workout. But the real highlight for me was the spa. The treatments were rejuvenating, and the environment was serene, providing the perfect escape after a busy day. Dining at Shangri-La Surabaya was an absolute delight. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of both local and international dishes, all prepared to perfection. Each meal was a treat for the taste buds, with attentive staff making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is also convenient, close to major attractions and shopping centers, making it easy to explore Surabaya. However, the hotel itself is so luxurious that you may not even want to leave! Overall, my stay at Shangri-La Surabaya was exceptional. The combination of world-class service, luxurious accommodations, and outstanding facilities make this hotel a top choice for anyone visiting Surabaya. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return!
