The memorable stay at The Westin surabaya hotel Checked in comforrtably Heavenly bed asked to sleep more. Excellent Location Hotel with Mall &Trade Center.

It's very crowded hotel. Meaning it's a good property with busy traffic. Yet the overwhelmed staff were able to maintain their professionalism and lovely service I usually gets, despite of my bad timing arriving with inactive (broken) elevators and fully booked meeting rooms and restaurants traffic, making the waiting time for elevator and moving around the property was somewhat... troublesome, to say the least. Nevertheless, definitely would recommend.

I recently spent my New Year's celebration at the Marriott Surabaya, and let me tell you, the first impression was like discovering a ”classic vinyl record”—a bit outdated yet full of charm! The decor leans towards the older side, but I was prepared for this vibe thanks to various reviews I had read. After settling in, I grew to love the cozy atmosphere—like wrapping myself in a warm blanket. The room was surprisingly spacious, offering more space than many newer hotels, making it feel like my own little oasis! The bathroom was also gleaming and roomy enough for an impromptu dance party, should the mood strike! Now, let’s dive into the breakfast experience at Pavilion. The cage-like design of the venue adds a unique touch, inviting plenty of sunlight—perfect for brightening up your morning. The buffet offered a wide array of dishes to satisfy international travelers' palates, making each breakfast an exciting adventure. The selection of Indonesian cuisines and desserts was particularly impressive. But what truly set Pavilion apart was the staff. They were superb and went above and beyond, taking the time to cater to us personally. They even recommended and brought out some local dishes—insider choices that added an authentic touch to our dining experience. In my past hotel breakfasts, the staff often just fulfilled their duties, but here, it felt more like breakfast with friends. That warmth and attentiveness made all the difference! And don’t miss out on the local flavors of ice cream! I can’t name the flavors since they’re all in local dialects, but they were heavenly and a fun challenge to try! For lunch and dinner, I found myself opting for room service several times because resisting their tempting menu was like ignoring a catchy tune stuck in your head. Each meal surpassed my expectations—purely irresistible! Another delightful surprise was the complimentary laundry service offered daily, which saved me after my waterfall adventure left me looking like a mud monster. And post-overnight trip to Bromo? I was practically a walking dust bunny! As I like to say, ”It's the little things that count,” and this thoughtful touch truly made a difference. Lastly, the hotel's location is fantastic! Just a short stroll away lies the biggest shopping mall—truly a haven for foodies and shoppers alike. Overall, my stay at the Marriott Surabaya was delightful, and I left with wonderful memories—definitely a place I’d recommend for a cozy yet vibrant experience!

Good place to stay if you are a person who like to have coffee session at late night as along the street, lots of coffee shop open until wee hours. Hotel was so good and nothing to complain off. Breakfast was superb as you have plenty of choices to have. Room was super clean and superb.

I originally booked one of the renovated rooms and there is a bit of fiasco in the first day when I came back to the room it just reeked of raw sewage, almost like a pipe it exploded, and I immediately called housekeeping who sprayed but said that they would move me to a different suite which is the one in the photos. This is one of the more expensive suites and it’s basic and similar in comparison to the renovated suite. However, renovated suite looks like it was renovated back in 1990s as the other suite was much nicer and more modern Overall, the service was fantastic. The food in the breakfast was delicious. The pool is nice. I’ll be at a little quiet and overall it’s a great location if you wanna go out to different sites or if you just wanna cruise the mall or do some quick shopping 

Convenient location with shopping mall, the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast very much. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

While the hotel offers modern design, spacious rooms, and a gym for guests, there are a few areas that need attention to improve the overall experience. 🛋️ Ambience & Design: The hotel features a modern, artistic design that creates a trendy and visually appealing atmosphere. The lobby and communal areas are stylish, welcoming, and set a positive tone upon arrival. 🏨 Accommodation: The suite was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable for rest and relaxation. However, I encountered a few cleanliness issues that affected my overall experience: Cobwebs on the sliding door, which made the space feel neglected. Stained bedsheets, which were disappointing and did not meet expected cleanliness standards. These issues suggest that the hotel could benefit from improved attention to detail and housekeeping standards. 📍 Location: While the hotel is centrally located, it is next to an abandoned mall, which creates an unwelcoming, deserted vibe—particularly at night. This choice of location takes away from the convenience and appeal of staying here. 💪 Fitness & Facilities: While the hotel lacks a pool, it does have a gym that is well-maintained and offers a good way to unwind or maintain your fitness routine during your stay. This was a nice addition and added value to my experience. 🌟 Service: The staff members were professional, helpful, and friendly. They made the check-in process smooth and were responsive whenever I had questions or needed assistance. ✨ Final Thoughts: ARTOTEL TS Suites Surabaya offers stylish design, spacious rooms, and a well-equipped gym. However, there are still a few issues that need attention: Pros: Stylish, modern interiors Spacious, comfortable rooms with essential amenities Well-maintained gym for fitness enthusiasts Friendly and professional staff Cons: Cobwebs on sliding doors and stained bedsheets Location next to an abandoned mall, creating an uninviting atmosphere No swimming pool or other recreational facilities With better housekeeping, improved attention to cleanliness, and a better use of its location, this hotel could significantly enhance the guest experience. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but with the hope that the hotel addresses these shortcomings to provide a more seamless and comfortable experience.
