My stay at Purest Hotel Sungai Petani was pleasant overall. The cleanliness was good, with the rooms and common areas well-maintained. The rating of 4.4 is over rated. It should be between 3.8 to 4.0. The impression given as we moved from the lift to our room and viewing our room is like a budget hotel. Charging rm140 is too much. Although passable, they should upgrade it.

when I checked in there were no staff to assist to push the trolley (few bags and hanging clothes for me and my wife). I was told by the reception there were no staff at afternoon shift?? hotel location were just nice but there were no walking distance halal food nearby, except KFC and Nasi Kandar Pelita (which pretty small). Room was nice considering is an old hotel.

Stay 4 adults 1 child.. Large room 2 queen beds 1 single. If you want a prayer mat and a kettle, ask at the reception.. The bathroom door is the type that cannot be locked.. You can push and pull the door.. the bathroom is very clean.. This hotel is antique.. Next time you want to go to SP.. You can stay here again.
