This hotel is surprisingly good, opposite the Shakespeare Theatre, out of the Swan Lake on the River Avon, very beautiful, the hotel has free parking, breakfast is order but very delicious, the hotel room is very winding, each room is There is a specific name. The aisle is like a maze. It is very complicated. There is no elevator. I really don't understand. In addition, check in the front desk is in the back door, through a door, walk through the restaurant to get to the front door, in addition to the design is a bit strange, the other is very good, the location is very good.

Gorgeous hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious and full of the expected Indigo special touches. The addition of the garden courtyard really sets this one ahead of some of the other IHG hotels we’ve stayed in.

The room was comfortable and had a microwave to heat food. The key box was not very easy to use, we were in a hurry for a long time, but the owner was very patient and needed to press two buttons at the same time in the box where the key was taken

The hotel was perfectly situated for the town and the theatre. Room was lovely & the bed & pillows dreamy! Staff were super friendly & helpful.
Unfortunately we didn’t have breakfast as we had arranged to meet friends - but I’m sure it would have been wonderful!

Such a cute and lovely hotel at Shakespear’s town
Just like how the name suggests, the location offers a central yard, green entrance through the car park and next to the river bank where tens of swans gather around for food.
The hotel is very cute and offers good walking distance to most attractions in town, yet being tucked away from the noise of the bar street.
The town is pretty much sleepy after 9pm but the hotel has a restaurant that runs till 11pm in case you’re still hungry at late night.

This hotel is recommended by a local tour guide. The appearance looks inconspicuous. After entering, it is a hotel with a very miniature facility. The hotel lobby is like a living room, which also meets the style of Shakespeare's town. There is a famous saying of Shakespeare's works at the door of each room. Very interesting, The room is small, the facilities are retro, but very clean, the hotel is sitting on the central street of the town, behind is Shakespeare's birthplace, the town itself is not very big, the distance can be reached within walking distance, the most relaxed city in the whole trip, breakfast is cold buffet, Hot food, choose the main dish, pay attention to the coffee is a single charge, this is a little different from other hotel breakfast

The setting is super for visiting the sights and the hotel is a beautiful historic building. The modern spa was nice to use but we found the room quite basic and could do with a freshen up and very disappointed that there where no hot drink making facilities in the room.
We had the breakfast included in our room cost and we were very disappointed in that - everything was swimming in grease and the black pudding and potato rosti were very over cooked so we could not finish our meal.
The car park is £7 per nights stay but were were not made aware of this beforehand.
We would probably stay again but would upgrade to a room in the old part of the building and won't have the cooked breakfast.

Outstanding
XXIAOCHENIt is very unexpected that the boss is a Chinese couple who have already settled in the UK. The room is clean, soundproof, the toiletries are good, and the hygiene is very good. At the same time, we have made a lot of good suggestions for our travel, and given improvements A lot of efficiency, guests can park, breakfast is a traditional English breakfast, very happy staying 😃
GGuest UserThis hotel basically meets Hilton standards in all aspects. Here are some special features: First, the location is convenient. It is very close to the train station and within walking distance. It is also within walking distance to the street where Shakespeare was born. There is a Morrison supermarket very close. There are small doors for pedestrians to enter and exit in all four directions of the hotel. Google map may not be very accurate. Second, the Junior Suite is actually a large room. The sofa can be converted into a sofa bed. It doesn't feel like a suite, but the sofa bed is quite large. The cushions of the sofa were laid on the ground when the staff made it into a sofa bed. If you want to sit on the sofa after entering the door, you should pat it first. It doesn't feel very clean. This hotel does not provide toothbrushes or the like. You can't get them even if you ask for them at the front desk. You need to prepare them yourself. Third, the front desk staff was a waitress on the day of check-in. The service was poor. She didn't take the initiative to tell me the location and time of breakfast. She also delayed arranging an extra bed. I called from the room for a long time but no one answered. I hurriedly answered the phone with my mobile phone from an outside line. I told her that I thought the room phone was broken. The male waiter who served us later was very enthusiastic. He told us how to use the train ticket and the convenient small door to the train station. Another male waiter saw that we had children with us and gave us a few more bottles of water and cookies. So I still trust Hilton's service. I just hope that they can strengthen the training of all employees.
GGuest UserCouple with dog.
For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did.
On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us.
We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did!
I have a video of the water pressure.
On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!
GGuest UserAltogether very satisfactory, lovely position for accessing both town and theatre. Excellent food from the bar menu and a very comfortable stay.
GGuest UserThe hotel is generally good and the staff are attentive, but we would suggest avoiding the restaurant.
The hotel doesn't warrant a 4* with areas showing wear and tear such as water-damaged wood, mouldy seal in the bathroom, broken window locks, etc.
Our room was not ready when we arrived, so we were given a drinks voucher. After being advised our room was ready, we arrived at the room to find the maid still cleaning the room. The room included basic tea and coffee facilities and toiletries.
The pool/spa is limited and has a cold pool, a steam room, a sauna, and a gym.
We had booked into the restaurant for an evening meal, but when we arrived there was a table complaining about the food. They had sent their food back to the kitchen twice, and the staff were suggesting they send it back again. They walked out of the restaurant. Based on this, we thought we would order something that was pretty safe, so we ordered a burger and a chicken. However, the meat tasted cheap and of poor quality. The restaurant is charging gastro prices, but the quality is nothing better than Wetherspoons or worse. Again, the puddings were basic, with a vegan coconut ice cream that had an odd texture to it and a sticky toffee pudding that was no better than a cheap microwave pud. In our opinion, the staff were inappropriately dressed, with one waitress having such a short skirt that every time she moved you got to see more than you wanted. The bar staff were assisting in the restaurant, and one barman was dressed in hip-style jeans, which kept falling down. Although all very attentive and polite, it seemed that the hotel as a whole had very limited staff, with everyone just mucking in.
The breakfast was not much better than our evening meal. We arrived at 9.30am to find the milk, pastries, hot water, etc. had run dry. There was a selection of hot food, but once again the meat tasted cheap. The main waitress was incredibly young and either didn't communicate or spoke so incredibly quietly that you could not hear what she said.
At check out, we were not asked how our stay had been, and we felt that everything was done to avoid such communication.
PPritida VyasThe service was great! There was an error with room allocation and as the booked room was not available, we got upgraded to a suite which was wonderful as we were celebrating a special milestone birthday. The dinner at the Trevellyn Restaurant was beyond expectation as we were vegetarian and the vegetarian meal prepared by the chef was awesome. The hotel decor itself looked a little tired although it added to the authentic look of the listed building. It was a hot weekend during our stay and although there was no air conditioning, a small fan was provided which made a little difference when sleeping at night. The gardens needed some upkeep and it would have been lovely if the fountains had been working. Overall we did enjoy our stay and look forward to coming back again after it has gone through some upgrading and refurbishing.
DDawnieIn the countryside in Stratford in a beautiful timber beamed building. The room was dark but spacious. We had the family room with a double and two single. Breakfast was included. No menus but the waiter said any English breakfast combination which was great. I had two poached eggs. The only problem was a lack of communication regarding the usual route to find the hotel being closed due to road works. Navigating a one way system in an unfamiliar town with no email or call to let us know how we were to get to the hotel was extremely stressful and put us 1.5 hours behind the schedule to arrive. This could have been sorted if the hotel had contacted trip.com with the landline provided at booking and explained about road works so I could have been forwarned.
GGuest User16th Century building (road side inn).. Re-modernized, with rooms to let..
Very atmospheric pub and restaurant, esp for Christmas time.
Nice touches that bring out the features of the building, esp the the indoor water well.
Room are good, may need some further modernization but very functional.
Incredibly narrow corridors and stairwell. (can see traffic jams happening)
GGuest UserThe stay experience is excellent, the room facilities are OK, the impression is that the staff is warm and thoughtful, the hotel restaurant is pleasant to eat, the price is super high, if you have the opportunity, you will choose again.
