Steps away from a convenient tram stop, this Bavarian architectural building offers a ground floor restaurant and reasonably priced accommodations. Smaller rooms were located in a contemporary building 2 doors down, which is where I stayed. Efficient elevator took guests to the 5 floors there but stairs were also an option. Rooms were clean, surprisingly quiet, and very comfortable. A delicious & fulfilling breakfast buffet was set out for guests on the main floor of the older period building. The restaurant was busy nightly, but I did get a chance to try tasty ethnic food there. Location was a double plus as I walked everywhere in the historic center of town. Easy nearby tram went directly to the train station.

Comfortable, well appointed room. The hotel is an easy walk to Petite France and the Notre Dame. Close to a good selection of restaurants (there is a restaurant in the hotel but it was closed for a holiday so can't comment). Welcoming staff. Recommended. Note that the pool / spa is an additional cost.

The reception area is very tiny and hard to contain the flow of tourists. The rooms are clean and tidy, but they could use a little refurbishment. The breakfast was disappointing - no cooked eggs, neither bacon nor pancakes. Eggs were served raw and guests were expected to boil them in a tiny boiler. The location however is the best- close to both the cathedral and the Petite France.

The location is ideal for enjoying beautiful Strasbourg, but conveniently just across the river away from the crowds. We are repeat guests who appreciated the newly renovated room, modern but very cozy. The reception and breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. Our only gripe is the weak wifi and total lack of signal in the breakfast room. Nevertheless, we recommend Au Cerf d’Or without hesitation and will certainly return.

Great place in an excellent location. There are two parts of the hotel. The part with the pool had lovely timber ceiling beams. Top-knotch bed linens and a really nice, clean bathroom. The breakfast was passable. Overall, the price was grwat. We would stay again if we're in Strassbourg. For the main side of the hotel, from my sister: The reception staff was very pleasant. It’s rather austere, but very clean and comfortable. I love the crisp linens.

This hotel is situated in an historic building near the old town. I really enjoyed my stay here. The management are very friendly, they have an excellent restaurant, their breakfast is really good too, the location is practical and there is a parking garage just round the corner.

The only thing praiseworthy about this hotel is the location. It is excellent and very quiet at night. Checkin and checkout are chaotic and unprofessional. The breakfast was average, but poorly replenished. Cold boiled eggs are on offer, but scrambled and other warm dishes cost extra. Housekeepers entered the room despite the Do Not Disturb sign. Use of the swimming pool costs extra. I only had dinner there once, and it was terrible. The salad de chevre chaid wasn’t fresh, the lettuce was limp and doused with a very oily and oddly sweet dressing (definitely not homemade), and the slices of chevre were in a cold, soggy breading, also clearly store-bought. I returned it virtually uneaten, and the server just shrugged her shoulders and said that most people like it. I can honestly hardly believe that. Overall service in the restaurant is inefficient and overwhelmed, although it’s a relatively small place with plenty of staff running to and fro. The room was certainly sufficient but quite dated and utterly without charm. I would book here again at off-season prices because of the location, but i wouldn’t eat here again.
