Premier Inn Stevenage Central

Excellent stay, brilliant value for money. Room was very clean, food was great and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had breakfast both mornings, the food quality was excellent. I would definitely recommend staying here if you need an easy commute into London like we did

A very welcoming and pleasant stay at this premier inn. Charlie and the team always go the extra mile to make sure everything is cared for which makes this premier inn stand out. Thank you for all your kind help. The hotel also has an excellent central location and is always very clean and well maintained.

Stayed here with 2 kids to visit family locally. Staff are lovely but hotel very badly designed. It's clean enough and easy to get to with free parking but we wouldn't stay again. All the family rooms are located either next to a door or opposite the lift (which is between 2 doors) so doors banging very early and late. Our room was not set up properly when we got there 4 of us, but only 2 beds. They did sort it tho. Our shower also had a leak so sprayed up and over the curtain and soaked everything by the sink. Again they did sort this but it shouldn't have happend. Breakfast was good but evening meals are on a tiny menu and we had pasta and the pasta was chewy, clearly microwaved and very bad value for money. For business or maybe just a couple with breakfast only this would be a good place, but not with kids and if you wanted to eat in.

Big shout out to the receptionist who checked us in last Saturday. She did everything possible to accommodate us knowing we had had a long trip and arrived early. Very friendly and personable. The room had everything we needed and breakfast was easy to book onto the next morning. Looking forward to our stay again in June.

Room wasn’t too bad but location was bad, in the middle of a business park with no amenities available close by. Despite paying for a cooked breakfast, in the morning they take your name and room number, mark you off as attending and then tell you it’s pastries or cereal only, nothing cooked and no offer of a refund. They tried to pass it off as a ‘continental breakfast’ but with nothing savoury available (meats, cheeses, anything you would associate with a continental breakfast). Gluten, sugar or go hungry, that was all that was on offer. Feeling robbed!

I arrived in the hotel at 23:10. Had to wait 5 minutes for staff to come and help me with check in. After asking my details, they informed me that I was already checked in and asked me if I had arrived earlier. I replied that I had just arrived and hoped that nobody else would be in my room. I was given my card-key to go to room 104. When I stepped out of the door, the card-key was not working as someone else was already in - could hear the noise from the TV. I went back to the reception to let them know. They were really confused about what happened. They apologised and gave me another room on the ground floor after I had to wait for another 5 minutes. The room did not meet my expectations and I was under the impression that my ''original'' room was better. I went to complain to reception and asked to provide me the contact details to communicate my terrible experience to the manager. The man in the reception told me not to email, as the email would be received by the staff thay messed up and would never reach to the manager. Instead, he advised me to call to a number and complain there. I've tried on multiple occasions, but could not catch a line. Generally the staff in the reception looked fairly inexperienced and could say that the hotel was under staffed. This was by far my worst experience on a hotel
