This is a really lovely property in a perfect location. Breakfast is a cut above. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. We had some communication issues that made for a very rough start to our trip. I booked airport transfer through Twice Central as we were landing at midnight after 27 hours of travel. We were told the driver would be waiting at arrivals with a sign with my name on it. We looked and looked and looked. The driver wasn’t there, and no contact information was provided. After many messages to the property and some kind stranger letting us use their phone, we got in contact with the front desk, who said the driver could be there in 30 minutes. I let them know that was too long and we would just Uber. They responded the driver would actually be there in 5 minutes, we just had to walk to a parking lot on the other side of the airport. We were eventually picked up from the middle of a parking lot at nearly 2am *over an hour and a half* later than when we had booked for. The worst part was no one took responsibility. Everyone, from the college student that checked us in to the general manager, blamed someone else. We were charged three times as much for the car as we would have paid for an Uber that we could have gotten right away. There was no compensation for the insanely long wait - not even a bottle of water taken off the bill. We were exhausted and it was very stressful trying to sort out at that hour, the very least they could have done is genuinely apologize instead of blaming others, and really we should not have been charged full price for the transfer given the extraordinary wait. Between that and the pool not being usable (it always had a large machine in it cleaning, but it never looked clean), we won’t be staying here again on our return trip next month. Which is unfortunate as it really is an ideal location.
