This is the sweet spot, trust us, as we have been coming to Vermont and skied every mountain in the State since the 1980s, and we picked Pico for all of these reasons.Pico is the "locals" mountain, much less hassle to get to and around, it feels like a private mountain, yet Killington is 5 minutes away for more action. Regardless of the season, this location has it all. Fantastic mountain biking trails are very close by, and you can walk to the Long Trail or AT for hiking or snowshoeing. Snowmobile trails are right next to the entrance to Pico as well. Kayak or canoe or just swim in the Chittenden Reservoir minutes away also, or Lake Bomoseen.
