The house is in a prime location right in the oldest part of Stamford a stone's throw from the centre. Opposite the house is a green with mature trees to look out on and the town Meadows are literally a few minutes walk away. The house has been set up with a focus on your comfort (Egyptian cotton sheets, snuggly White Company throws for all beds), a large velvet sofa in the lounge for relaxation with all the essentials such as Wi-fi, 2 x TV's (including Netflix & Iplayer etc) The kitchen is in the basement & is newly fitted in July 2022. It has a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave etc along with all you need should you wish to stay at home to cook a meal. There is a Sage coffee machine for a freshly ground cuppa & an instant hot water tap for your hot drinks/cooking convenience. The house is on 4 floors with the master bedroom & bathroom on the top floor. The master bedroom can be configured with a double bed or 2 singles so let me know your preference once booked. There is a TV in this room too so works well if you have children who are old enough to have their own space, leaving you to use the 1st floor with 2 bedrooms, a separate toilet and the main lounge/TV all on the same floor. The first floor has a large double bedroom with a King size bed and there is a smaller room which has a queen size bed. The house is a period cottage (c.1600) so its features are its character but also come with some limitations such as some of the ceilings are low in places (but certainly not throughout). The stairs to the top floor would not be suitable for the infirm, elderly or young children who are unsteady on their feet. Its location could not be more ideal if you want to walk in to restaurants, cafes, bars etc & also for the Town Meadows & Burghley Park. Rutland Water is a short drive away for nature, water sports & its bird sanctuaries.
