The Endeavour Restaurant with Rooms

Pleasant host and good cooked breakfast but a big part of a bed and breakfast is the BED. The twin beds felt hard and grid-like. On inspection we found that the one-sided IKEA mattresses had been turned upside down! The more comfortable but badly stained sleeping surfaces were face down. Turned over they were more comfortable, if off-putting. The sheet and duvet were spotless but the mattress covers needed a wash. The rest of the room was fine, just needs new mattresses. Sleeping comfort is too much to ask of most British B&Bs in our experience, whereas we have yet to find such blatant disregard for comfort abroad.

My husband booked The Endeavour in Staithes for my birthday, we had a lovely mini break staying in the Rhode Island room, the room was so comfy, really cosy, plenty of room, loved the complimentary tea & coffee with fresh milk and filtered water, and toiletries, smelt divine. Breakfast was delicious, all locally sourced and cooked to perfection, perfect poached eggs every morning. The Endeavour is in a perfect location, between a fab pub and the beach. Cameron and Caroline were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, with a font of knowledge of the local area. Will definitely visit again.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at The Endeavour . Cameron and Caroline were the perfect hosts so friendly and welcoming. The Endeavour is perfectly situated on the main high street. We stayed in the Tahiti room which was spotless . The bed and pillows were so comfy. Little touches of complementary milk , water, shampoo conditioner , shower gel, hand wash and even bath salts made it home from home The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. Nothing was too much trouble even when we had to call Cameron out at 8pm on the Saturday evening. The hotel is decorated to a high standard and has such a cosy feel. The snug room was our favourite. Staithes has so much to offer . We would definitely recommend food at the cod and lobster and afternoon tea at Dotty’s ( next door ) We can’t wait to return and will definitely be staying at the Endeavour again.

Staithes, out of season, is a wonderful old laid back seaside village with winding narrow streets. The Endeavour is centrally located. Free overnight winter period parking 5 minutes up the hill.Friendly, helpful host. Rooms fresh and clean and nicely furnished with a Captain Cooke theme. Ground coffee, fresh milk and biscuits in your room. Great breakfast (I had Staithes smoked kippers). Good food (cod and lonster) and drink at the harbour front pub (massive range of spirits) Great local cliff top walks and an interesting working harbour with a small beach. It probably will be too busy for my liking in the summer but I'll definitely be returning for another off-season break

Perfect overnight stay at the Endeavour in Staithes. Cannot recommend this small bed and breakfast highly enough. Even before we arrived Cameron was really helpful. Grest communication throughout our stay. The room was a perfect size and spotlessly clean as was the ensuite bathroom. Very well equipped. Breakfast was excellent. We cannot wait to return.

I travelled to Staithes with my wife at the end of October staying for two nights at the Endeavour B&B. Cameron was the perfect host , friendly, helpful and informative. Like its host the Endeavour was a great, a special place to stay.Shown to our room named Tahiti we took advantage of refreshments, including fresh milk, ground coffee and chilled bottled water. The room was clean ,tidy and tastefully decorated and we both slept well on a comfortable bed. You are asked to order breakfast the evening before , we chose a delicious cooked breakfast, tasty and well cooked, A special mention given for the best poached eggs. A good selection of cereals , toast and orange juice are available. Staithes is such a lovely coastal village and we spent our time walking and relaxing, just watching the world go by. This is my first review on Tripadvisor, it is that good. We await our next visit.
