Amazing Accommodations: St Kilda

Possibly the worst accommodation we have ever stayed in. I had booked two apartments. A one bedroom and two bedroom. The photos do not reflect the apartments in anyway. The two bedroom apartment had the dirtiest carpet I had ever seen, so many stains. The walls and curtains were stained. There were dirty tissues and crumbs under the cushions on the sofa. Cockroaches under the toaster and kettle and in the seal of the fridge. Urine stains around the back of the toilet. The One bedroom apartment looked clean but smelt so badly of smoke it was difficult to sleep. Marlow the manager did get cleaners in and offered us a change for the one bed, but we declined as I didn't want to go through another apartment with a tooth comb. The two bedroom was for my daughter and family, it was hard for her to keep the 2yr and 5yr old children off the carpet. I have made several complaints and am now waiting to hear.

What should have been a wonderful 2-night family trip turned horrid due to the most disgraceful level of cleanliness I've ever encountered in accommodation. After a very dubious check in process which required a $200 deposit even though it had been paid in full via voucher. This meant we were rushed to our appointment that evening, and would never have stayed if we'd seen it in the cold light of day. The bed linen was clean, but the good news stops there. The bathroom was filthy, cigarette butts out on the balcony, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty floors, the list goes on. We could not stay the second night (not even use the shower on the first) and while management SAID they would address it, did not, and have not. So for $400 for one night's accommodation which should have been two, no shower, and ruining what should have been a wonderful family celebration I agree with other reviews and say AVOID this disgrace.

This accomodation was booked for 4 male adults , all of us attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Albert Park. We asked and received 4 single beds in a 2 bedroom apartment. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were. The apartment was a very good size with large lounge are and adequate size kitchen and bathroom. It was a short 5 minute walk across to gate 10 which was fabulous for us. Public trams just on our corner and a good cafe called square around the corner from us, where we ate breakfast each morning. Also a good bar and restaurant further up the road. The accommodation was quiet and we were very happy with the costs of the accommodation. However, the apartments are old and in good need of some love and attention. Wallpaper coming off walls, curtains coming off railings, old furniture and bathroom. We could live with all of this but a couple of suggestions. 4 little tubs of milk for 4 people for 4 days wasn’t really good enough. And 1 towels each for 4 days also wasn’t really acceptable So lots of positives for amazing accommodation in StKilda and we would consider coming back again
