St. Ives Holiday Village

We stayed in a Platinum Lodge with a hot tub. The surroundings were beautiful, lovely to hear all of the birds singing and watching the squirrels run around. We didn't really use the onsite facilities so can really comment on those we did have a wander around though and everything looked clean and nice. We did book swimming at 7pm the night before and had no problem booking at this time, we cancelled our session as the time was no longer suitable for us the next day and no slots were available for other times so do recommend booking at 7pm the night before via the app. I miss the days when you didn't have to plan everything that's a personal opinion and not a negative on the site. Our lodge was beautiful, the tv's weren't smart tvs, we took a now to stick with us so we could watch Netflix and the WiFi on site was great. I also like how you didn't feel rammed in with lots of space around you. It was a great base to explore from and only a short drive from the main town of St Ives , Penzance and 30 mins drive from Lands End. The staff we did speak to were all helpful. I would definitely return there.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and both times it’s been a pleasure. The site is placed out of the way amongst peaceful and pleasant woodlands, with a swimming pool, outdoor tennis tables, a small park, and a woodland walk. The site is about 5-10 min drive to the beach (depending which one you want to go to) and there’s plenty of beaches in St Ives to walk along (even in windy/wet weather). It’s also only about 35 mins drive to the likes of St Michaels Mount, Minack Theatre, and some other fantastic days out. The first time we stayed in a gold lodge and it was in perfect condition. After staying in many a caravan/lodge, this one blew us away with the amount of storage and space! This time we stayed in the platinum 2-bed lodge with a Hot Tub and what a value for money! We did have a couple of teething issues but every time we spoke to someone they had a maintenance team within 30 mins - stellar service! The lodge was warm, well looked after, the hot tub wasn’t overlooked, and there was beyond enough space and storage for the four of us. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful - you really couldn’t ask for more (especially for what you pay). We’ve already booked again! Highly recommend.

We booked platinum and it didn't disappoint! Accommodation was great! A smashed TV on arrival was replaced with a brand new one. Lodge was clean, tidy and spacious. Facilities are dated. Bar is run down and over half the arcade doesn't work! Swimming was great, special mention to Gill the lifeguard who my kids adored. She went above and beyond, entertaining my son with stories after our booking. She also kept everyone in check to ensure the swimming pool was a fun and enjoyable experience. Evening entertainment for the kids was fun, we didn't stretch past the evening bingo. We had a great time, just further investment in the bar to match the quality would be great.
