Hotel Royal Jinene Sousse

We arrived at Hotel Royal Jinene last week for 7 days. Upon leaving the coach, a nice man collected our bags. The entrance and lobby is nice, with lobby bar. They put us in room 206 first, which had a view of rubbish filled wasteland and dirty nappies on the roof below!! We immediately asked to change room! The next day they put us in room 502, which was alot better, sea view and pool view with balcony. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is terrible! Carpets never been vacuumed, toilets disgusting. The food is quite limited, but I actually really enjoyed it, breakfast very basic, lunch & dinner very similar each day, but food is good. Bars are basic, weak draft beer was nice, the spirits are local brands but not too bad. They 99% of the time dont have coke zero, just full sugar. Pools, inside closed, outside was good, depth 2.3m, slides are small but ok. Wifi, average coverage in the lobby and rooms, not near swimming pool. The guests are mostly Arab Muslim, they are extremely rude and unfriendly! Luckily there were a fair few brits. The local area in the streets is horrendous, litter literally Everywhere! Dead cats, dead birds, and the feeling of absolutely not being safe! The private Beach, is nice, a bar and nice seating area, But the beaches either side are covered in litter!! Real shame, don't understand why the locals don't help clean it up! The entertainment (Animation) Girls Eyaa and Lulu where just amazing, so lovely and Freindly, they really helped making the holiday brilliant xxx Avoid The Ally baba man! The excursions are awful!! On a bus for 1hr each way for a 15min ride on a restricted quadbike! The AC as advertised, was all turned off from beginning of Sept! Overall, you get what you pay for!! It's not 5 stars, but I did really enjoy it , and Eyaa is lovely

We were supposed to stay at the Marhaba Club Hotel, but before we even left the UK, we were informed that it was not available. Instead, we were given the Royal Jinene Hotel as a "like for like" alternative. Unfortunately, the Royal Jinene fell far short of our expectations and was definitely not on par with the Marhaba Club. The hotel is old and desperately needs renovation. The decor is outdated, and the furniture is worn, giving the entire place a neglected and unwelcoming atmosphere. The food at the Royal Jinene was terrible. The buffet lacked variety, and the quality of the meals was extremely poor. Every meal was a disappointment, making dining an unpleasant experience. The water was turned off during the day without any notice, causing significant inconvenience and frustration. This is unacceptable for any hotel. There was no air conditioning in the downstairs areas, making them uncomfortably hot. The air conditioning in the room was extremely noisy, disrupting sleep and relaxation. The lifts were constantly breaking down, making it difficult to move around the hotel, especially for guests with mobility issues. The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. The rooms and common areas were not adequately cleaned, adding to the overall sense of neglect. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach, which is a nice feature for those looking to enjoy the seaside. While the hotel is near the beach, it is not close to other amenities. Guests often need to take taxis or buses to reach various places, which can be inconvenient. Additionally, I must mention that the staff seemed very embarrassed by the whole situation of the hotel, indicating they were aware of the issues but possibly unable to rectify them. In summary, our stay at the Royal Jinene Hotel was far from satisfactory. The hotel did not live up to the standard of the Marhaba Club and was plagued with numerous issues, including poor maintenance, terrible food, unreliable amenities, and cleanliness problems. I would not recommend the Royal Jinene Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I love this hotel so so much and i Will Come back, the staff are so friendly the Beach is so clean, Very good music around the pool and especially at night with animation manager KIMO He IS friendly and so helpfull, the food is not the best but rooms are so big :) i Will Come back :)

A fantastic week! We had a room with a pool and sea view. Beautiful. Our room was very clean and was maintained by a lovely lady who tidied, cleaned and gave us fresh towels. What a beautiful, spotlessly clean pool to relax by. Slides were such great fun for the kids. Helpful staff around at all times. Bar staff very helpful and made special drinks for the kids. Such a treat to be so close to the beach! Beautiful beach bar with a lovely, helpful bar man. Animation team - Kimo-was very friendly and fantastic with our kids. He checked in on us often and made sure there were activities for kids to participate in. We loved aqua-aerobics, basketball, tennis and darts. Loads of energy and always had a smile and chat for us. What a lovely guy 🙂. The food has been excellent - varied and always plenty of choice. The hotel is generally a little tired and could do with some attention (for example, air conditioning in room not great and balcony door broken.). For us, this all added to the charm and any mild issues were well put-weighed by incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Thank-you for a very special week.

Really bad experience and poor hotel. The staff were nice but the resort is very poor condition. The owners neglected this place and it really shows. Litter everywhere and bed bugs bit marks all over me after one night in the bed which had urine stains and blood stains

I came here with my family for the first time, the environment and people are amazing. Kimo made Entertainment shows more than entertaining, he makes everyone feel welcome and boosts their confidence. Tunisia is a great place to visit. I recommend!!!
