Bundu Camping and Caravan Park

We visited Sourton Down caravan and camping as a quick getaway for camping over bank holiday. The new owners are wonderful and we had a very warm welcome. The site is immaculate and very well presented. Pitches are a fantastic size with lots of bin and water points throughout. At the end of the site there is a gate onto the granite way. We went for a wonderful walk to Meldon resovoir which was truly spectacular. Next door to the site is a bike hire shop/pub. We had best pizzas we’ve had in a while! We would recommend this site for anyone who likes peace and quiet and nice walks or bike rides. We had a fantastic stay and will 100% be back to explore even more! Thank you!

We had a lovely two night stay at Bundu and are so glad that we booked our stay there. The welcome is warm and we got to chose our pitch. We were one of the first in on the first day of the season so had the pick of the pitches. We chose one of the closest to the loos for the after dark dash but all pitches were very well spaced out and a good variety of grass or hard standings. The noise of the road is noticeable but you really do get used to it and it certainly doesn't spoil the park. The facilities are more than adequate and very clean. I didn't use the showers as it was just a little bit cold this time of year but the whole area was so clean and well kept. No luxuries but for the price you pay and the location it really is great. We loved the direct access to the Granite Way with so much to see and do in both directions. We took our bikes and enjoyed cycling into Okehampton and then back along to Lydford. It is a level, well maintained surface perfect for walking or cycling. Overall Bundu is a lovely 9 out of 10 and will definitely be on our shortlist of campsites to return to!
