NO breakfast is provided, despite what it says when you book. The staff acknowledge that their listing is incorrect luckily ******* is great and rectified the situation. The room is basic and is with 4 other rooms. They are situated very close to one another so I am very glad our neighbours were quiet. This was fine for a one night stay, but I would not stay here for anything more. It's too basic for the price. The light was falling off the wall in our room. To check-in you must call a phone number to let you in however, it's difficult for tourists without access to a phone. Location is very convenient to the bus/train station and to the main shopping area. It was good for our one night stay before we continued to the Amalfi Coast.

ItaliaRail went on strike the morning we were to leave to Sorrento. Called Sorrento Colors & Suites advising that we couldn't make our reservation & requested our money reimbursed. We were told they needed 24 hours advance notice for cancellation. We further explained we didn't know 24 hours in advance of train strike. They did not give our money back. Very dissappointed.

The location was great and the AC in the unit worked really well. However, the shower flooded the bathroom as soon as the water was turned on and the bathroom door kept locking automatically. Very random sewage smell throughout the room. Electricity went out in the building but was resolved within 30 minutes.

Room was good, clean, larger than average for Italy. Nice balcony. Kitchenette was very convenient. Some of the dishes were not well cleaned, but dish soap and a rag were provided. Stayed in late February 2024, construction in building made sleeping in and a restful day impossible. Not the fault of the hotel, so I don’t want to hold it against them.

This review is purely to warn those who might be considering staying here – do yourself a favour and find somewhere else, literally anywhere else. You can get much better rooms, in better locations for less money in Sorrento (we know this because we did)! The room itself was fine, definitely nothing to write home about, but fine. The building itself is just a no-go. Tucked away in an industrial style area, no signposts, nowhere near where google maps told us it would be (2 different taxi drivers failed to find this place). First impressions; the building is just simply run down and dirty! The lift that takes you up to the ‘suites’ looked condemned – just plain dodgy (as were the other quests to be honest). Within minutes, we had music blaring through our wall. We have NEVER walked out of a hotel or apartment before and I have never given a 1 star review – but I hope this stops other people making the same mistake we did, because we literally ran away minutes after checking in! Yes I did try and resolve the issues with Colors&Suites: The host had also run away after check in – I can’t say I blame him! Yes I did try and contact them by email a couple of days later, and no they did not care - luckily I managed to sort this with the third party booking site so it helped I had an extremely rude email from the host to back up my initial complaints. This may look cheap and cheerful… but it’s not even that cheap, let alone cheerful!
