La Quinta Menorca by PortBlue Boutique - Adults Only

My wife and I had another very enjoyable stay at La Quinta. As many have said its a small Hotel that provides a peaceful experience in relaxed surroundings. A really great and clean pool with comfortable loungers and good quality parasols. Pool bar service provided all day long with a lifeguard on hand if needed and I also noted the lifeguard was very attentive to people who needed any assistance in and around the pool area. Nicely kept garden area surrounding the pool area with grass cut once a week taking around 1.5hrs. Yes believe it or not grass does not cut itself! The reception very helpful and friendly as required. The breakfast service was very good. Nice selection of buffet options and a served on hot food menu choice. The evening meals were all very good and varied every day with main courses including 2 choices of fish, meat or vegetarian options. In addition, an option of a soup starter followed by a good and daily changing choice of cold buffet alongside the main course and choices of buffet desserts with ice cream/sorbet. A very good selection of wine with many Minorcan wines to choose from. Our comment on the evening meal is to suggest a fuller explanation of the main courses to include accompanying ingredients such as potato, vegetables, sauces etc....With regards staff during the restaurant service, we found all waiting staff to be very friendly, professional and efficient. We are always mindful and grateful that staff at La Quinta have excellent English language proficiency. I can't imagine many staff working at Hotels in the UK could do the same in Spanish! The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of storage space for clothes etc... The bathroom is very functional. We would say the shower water pressure is a bit low but can understand the reasons for this with regards water saving. Very good daily room servicing.

Nice relaxing hotel with a personal feel due to the small size. Rooms a good size well maintained serviced daily. Pool clean never without a choice of sunbed. Location ideal for a walk to the harbour a local park choice of eateries supermarkets and gift shops. Hotel run a shuttle to the market town of Citudella daily. Staff on the whole, in all areas helpful and welcoming. Breakfast choice is good with buffet and cooked on offer....however training of restaurant Staff is vital to provide correct orders in a timely manner. Upper Management aware of this issue and assure they are tweaking arrangements which is positive but not helpful if one has already had holiday. Nothing to do with the hotel but worth considering depending on mobility many pavements in poor state of repair. Beach area also requires careful navigation. As with all areas there are also many closed down premises unfortunately. Husband's birthday during our stay hotel provided a chilled bottle of cava which was very thoughtful and quite a surprise when it was delivered to our room.....thank you If looking for somewhere to chill and relax We would recommend this option.

While the hotel is peaceful and the pool area is very pleasant, the hotel is otherwise very disappointing. Decor is outdated, food and beverages are basic and the services are lacking. The hotel does not meet what is expected from five-star establishment.

Good check in, glass of cava and was shown to our room. Room was comfortable and clean. Love that the rooms overlook the pool. Staff were excellent all very friendly and tried to help. Food was good. All areas of the hotel kept very clean. Location of hotel was good. Beach and marina a 5 minute walk. Supermarket by the hotel. Only thing for improvement would be a drying rack on the balcony for swimwear and towels.

A lovely clean and quiet adult only hotel. No need to rush to put towels on sun beds as they are generally available throughout the day. Comfy beds and a good sleep. The staff are very friendly and attentive, especially Gustavo, Juan Carlos, Caterena, Noelle, Maia, and Melina. The food choice is limited and especially so for my gluten free wife. Most of the food, especially fish, was very good but avoid the Menorcan Pork. The buffet selection for salads was also good. The hotel website advised dress code for dinner including trousers for men but this was not upheld and shorts were fine - however, the standard was allowed to drop and sports shorts, t-shirts and flip flops were seen on occasion. Check in and check out was excellent. The complementary minibus to Cuitadella was booked quickly up so book early. All in all a very relaxing and chilled holiday. If we return we will not do half board as there are some good restaurants in the marina and Son Xoriguer beach.

Excellent hotel in all areas. Wonderful, helpful and friendly staff. They did well to accommodate us, letting us check in 3 hours early when we arrived. Food was outstanding in amount and quality. The hotel was spotless and the spa was a great bonus feature to have on the day that it rained.

Not bad, needs modernisation and certain restaurant staff need to treat interns better. Food choice limited, no labelling on food which is mad so you do not know if you have meet etc in the food, so beware people with allergies, vegetarians and vegans etc.

Few details can be improved : fresh cocktails at pool bar, english speaking personnel, advices on local restaurant, …

We stayed for a week and it was super nice. The only thing could be improved is the quality of the main menu for the breakfast. Apart from this I could recommend this hotel.
