Hotel Liebe Sonne 4S

My wife and I just spent one week ski holiday in the Hotel Liebe Sonne in March 2023. Positive points: Generally speaking this hotel is according to what we expected (we already experienced quite similar hotels in Tyrol). Our room was big as well as the bath room. Food at diner was generally good and dishes well presented. Breakfast was awesome with a lot of choices. Special thanks to Janos in the dining room for utmost service and courtesy extended to us. Also special thanks to Peter in the Finish sauna…👏 as he had dispensed special treatment with essential oils 2x times per day. Negative points: Very negative one…our room (214 juniorsuite "Nederkogl") was facing the main road with direct noise impact from Après-ski lounges. The one called Fire and Ice was open till 03:00am..!! After the first short night (only 3 hours sleep) we mentioned the reception that we have been disturbed by the noise since our habit is to leave the windows slightly open. The receptionist answered with a touch of ironies that we should close the window and if not enough they can provide us with ear plug…I did not ask whether ear plugs were included in the 340.- euro/night room package…! anyway she said there was no possibilities to change room on the quiet side since the house was fully booked. Then ok we accepted it (apparently no choice) and we spent the following nights with windows closed and even the veranda sliding room closed. However some nights we wake up after 3AM to open the windows in oder to avoid sufficing... We had the chance to talk at the bar with some very regular customers who said that they faced such situation on their first stay and been moved mountain side. They also mentioned that the front desk should not allocate rooms facing street to customers spending that much nights as we did (7 nights). For that price customers deserve quiet and relax nights. Another bad point was the non respect of silence and tranquility by some group of males in the sauna area. Some of them have been using cell phones and talking loud and some others jumping into the jacuzzi. They were also using the sauna area as a meeting room to share their ski experience of the day. Overall saying I would recommend this hotel but make sure about room allocation at the time of booking.

Together with my family and friends we have spent our ski holiday in this hotel. The hotel is located at the main street of Sölden, and is surrounded by après-ski bars, shops, ... When you book a room at the streetside, you might experience noise from traffic or nightlife. However, I wasn't bothered too much by this; noises from outside are isolated pretty well. We were welcomed cordially and checking-in went smoothly. The garage is in the basement of the hotel. When driving eg. a SUV with a skibox, you better check whether you can use the car elevator to get to the lowest parking spaces. Our room was a standard room, and probably the smallest of all on the floor. It was clean and had all comfort needed. Beds are very comfortable. There is a TV and mini-bar in the room. Furthermore there is a nice bathroom, toilet and plenty of storage. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and wellness area, fitness, massage, kidscorner, ... The skilockers are just outside in a separate building. The restaurant is very nice; breakfast buffet offers a large variety and also dinner is superb. The kitchen is really excellent. Staff is most friendly and helpful. Our special thanks to Vanessza and Maia who were our waiters. All taken together, we enjoyed our stay in Liebe Sonne and we can definately recommend. If we ever return to Sölden, i am sure we will consider to book Liebe Sonne again.

Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar am Skigebiet und Gondel. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Essen hervorragend (gute Qualität der Zutaten). Die Zimmer sind geräumig und gut ausgestattet, lediglich der Blick nach außen im hinteren Bereich ist nicht so toll. Der Spa Bereich und Schwimmbad sind in Ordnung. Wir haben uns im Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Pisten in Sölden sind sehr gut, die Stadt selbst ist leider nicht die Rede wert, es ist kein schöner Ort, Abends ist es laut, après—ski ist eher eine Katastrophe für Sölden, es schreckt ab, zu viele sind besoffen! Also Sölden nur im Hotel und Skigebiet!
