ALERO Seaside Skyros Resort

We have mixed feelings about this hotel where we spent a week at the beginning of the summer season . Among the good points is , as I already mentioned in the title,the interior decoration done with taste and good quality materials. There was also a small private gym room next to the bedroom and an exterior private pool which was so little though that call it a bathtub would be more appropriate! There was no breakfast buffet.As a result quantity and variety were limited. Breakfast consisted of one cup of coffee (for a second one you pay extra),two slices of bread (always the same) one cookie and a slice of cake ,a tiny glass of fruit juice and one side dish(egg dish or cereals or fruits)per person. The beach in front of the hotel is very average full of sea weeds and stones! You have to negotiate your way in the sea! But the real problem in this hotel are the dogs! To start with there was the owners dog always to be found in the kitchen of the restaurant occasionally coming out to bark at the clients or any other of the many stray dogs who gather around as the premises are very dog friendly! So we were not astonished to see poop on the grass around the common areas and on the beach! Not very hygienic all this! Staff(the one who removed the poop after my remark ) and at the restaurant were rather nice and friendly which compensated a lot for their inexperience! Overall a hotel with potentiality but still with a lot of room for improvement!

A great choice to stay in Skyros island. The hotel is a family run business with spacious brand new rooms and high level of attentiveness to the clients. Great restaurant as well. The area is quiet and very close to the town of Skyros. A perfect choice for families and those who l would like to relax. Will definitely recommend!

Amazing style and incredible attention to detail. A true resort on a small and charming island. The place is run by two lovely sisters who go out of their way to make you feel taken care of. Comfortable beds, high asthenic design, and great food. Highly recommended!

The place looked amazing. It was modern, with great rooms, while being very clean, and with a personal small swimming pool for each one room -although it's not really for swimming due part to how small it is, but rather for relaxation. The beach which is just across from the in-area restaurant, is clean and with very clear waters. The staff were kind and very helpful with everything we asked. All in all a great place for some nice and relaxing summer holiday vacations.

Aleró was such an wonderful place to visit! The hostesses are amazing; thank you for the warm welcome, for the wonderful stay, for the friendly environment you have created! It’s a luxurious accommodation that radiates simplicity, kindness and harmony! Alero’s presence supports the architecture of the area and upgrades the island! I can’t wait to visit again next year!

Alero est un endroit à part: l'hôtel est tenue par une charmante famille de Théssalonique qui met tout en oeuvre pour offrir un accueil chaleureux. La décoration est recherchée, originale, élégante dans les moindres détails. La plage est juste devant l'hotel et offre quelques parasols. C'est le repos absolu avec la gentillesse de toute l'équipe qui n'hésite pas à vous apporter le café frappé que vous siroter en regardant le flux des vagues. La cuisine du restaurant Amerissa est vraiment exceptionnelle: une recherche, une inventivité mêlant grande cuisine et saveurs grecques dans ce qu'elle peut avoir de plus fin. La carte a été conçue par le Chef Angelos Lantos, qui a notamment oeuvré à Cheval Blanc...et pour le seconder une équipe toujours disponible pour le meilleur. C'était une étape qui donne le plaisir de séjourner dans un hotel loin des lieux communs. Un bonheur. Merci à toute l'équipe!! (ps: oui il y 1 ou 2 chiens et un chat calin, qui donne de la vie aux lieux...et à ceux qui veulent vraiment découvrir la Grèce!)
