Mando Beachfront

We really enjoyed our stay there and will return :-) Here´s why: Jason and his family are outstanding hosts, starting from the breakfast (where his mother is preparing greek dishes) to helping you with small things and recommendations. It felt like being at home (with the big upside that many things are being taken care of by your hosts ;-) If there was a thing to fix / recommend, we could always rely on Jasons help/advice. It is nice to have your own private beach access with some chairs to sit in (just a couple of steps down from our rooms). Location in my opinion is perfect - a little (but not too far) away from the main town (approx. 10 min drive), a good restaurant in walking distance nearby, public sandy beach nearby.

We accidentally happened on the Mando apartments. Found it on the internet and called Jason and was picked up ( in Skopelos town) within half an hour. We chose the superior Room as it had an incredible view from the balcony ( and bed) Jason ( the owner) treated us like family and the free breakfast was fantastic. The steps to the private swimming area were great & super for a morning swim. The other beach ( sandy) was 5 mins walk away with a great restaurant. In all it made or island hopping journey!! Best accommodation of the lot with a super friendly informative host.

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was brilliant. The owner Jason is so friendly and knowledgable about the area and Greece as a whole. The apartments are lovely with superb views. The highlight was the breakfasts, that change on a daily basis. Homemade by Jason’s mother, they were a real highlight. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the two bedroom villa and it was just perfect. It is very spacious with wonderful views from the many balconies. We had maid service every day. Iason was a fabulous host, who really went the extra mile to ensure we had a great time. He picked us up from the port and took us food shopping. We had a great time in Iason’s boat. If he offers to take you out in it, just say “yes”! I loved Stafilos Beach and Velanio Beach which were easy to walk to from the Mando Beachfront. I did not feel the need to rush off to other beaches as the beaches near the Mando Beachfront are so scenic – I love the rocks! It was great using the kayaks on Stafilos Beach, which were available until 7 pm. I enjoyed looking out at the historic promontory containing Stafilos’s tomb. I explored the promontory. This was slightly hazardous as there is no clear path up to the top and back, but I got some good photos. It was also nice to explore the little promontory just beyond Stafilos restaurant, getting great views of the beach and bay. We rented a Peugeot 208 from Magic Cars for the 4 of us and this worked really well and it was very good value. We enjoyed visiting the Mamma Mia Church, Agnontas, Panormos Beach, Skopelos town, and walking from Iera Moni Sotiros monastery to Moni Timiou Prodromou along a clearly defined path. The breakfast had a lot of cakes and sweet things so we cooked our own breakfasts in the apartment, and this worked well for us. Currently the bay retains its charm, with just a few buildings, and our villa definitely has a wonderful position in the bay. I hope that it does not become too congested or developed with additional buildings or a swimming pool, as it would lose its charm and become like every other tourist resort. It’s nice to be able to find places that retain their Greek charm and are not too developed. Thank you, Iason, for such a brilliant stay and for being such a great host.

This occurred the village of Stafylos,  ten  minutes by  car from the harbor of Skopelos Island where found a guesthouse called Mando’s Beachfront . There were green lawns, flowers, orchards , goats and about two  dozen  rooms in three small buildings , all this in the middle of a large park overlooking  the sea. .The rooms were whitewashed  with dark woods, stone floors ,open balconies, and incredible sea views . A long path across a wood  led to a creek surrounded by  high  cliffs  and only accessible by sea. You could jump into the  green water and swim alone for hours with a couple  of yachts and the distant rumor of a public beach as your only company.. When you came out of the water Jason , the  friendly  manager made sure  you would get large towels , while Jason’s mother   baked a cake to be served  next morning at breakfast .We landed  there by chance ,yet  were sorry to leave . Swimming alone felt like paradise

We stayed recently at the Mando and had the best time there. The hospitality was incredible and Jason, Mando and Maria looked after us so well. Boat trip was our highlight! we all would recommend the Mando!
