Just back from a weeks stay at Hotel Rene. Very friendly family run hotel. Rooms very clean with fantastic views. Breakfast can be eaten inside the breakfast room or out on the large terrace, also with wonderful views. There is a fairly steep hill up to the hotel but for us it wasn't a problem. It is only a 10 minute walk into town and even less to bus stop 4 which runs up and down the coast. We would not hesitate to stay here again when we return to Skiathos. Thankyou to everyone at Hotel Rene.

If you are looking for a nice quiet holiday this is the place for you.Sea views from any area of the hotel,spotlessly clean and friendly owners. A great base for visiting the islands Only 10 minutes walk from the port with plenty of bars and restaraunts

Lovely hotel, very clean, good food, amazing views. Owners very helpful and would recommend. Hotel is on a hill so it’s pretty steep when walking back from the town centre. Lovely clean pool with plenty of sunbeds available. Skiatosis is a beautiful island to visit.

I along with 3 friends have just returned from the hotel Rene, we had read reviews before travelling and was reassured when we read the hotel was clean and friendly,in our opinion none of the reviews did this hotel justice, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the family who own it bent over backwards to make our stay as good as possible, I honestly don’t know when they slept. Yes it is a steep hill to get to but we hired a car or used a taxi to save walking up it( but that’s cos we are ladies of a certain age) for anyone younger or fitter it wasn’t a problem,it was spotlessly clean and so friendly by our 2 nd day I think we knew everyone there and went out to everyone waving and talking to us , we even was invited to the owners little girl’s birthday party!!! Skiathos was such a beautiful place and hotel Rene was the cherry on the cake, we will definitely be back!!! N

Perfect little hotel for being close to everything! This hotel is a 10-15 minute walk into the old town and a 5 minute walk down to Megali Ammos beach where there is a few nice beach restaurants. There is a steep hill on the walk back as mentioned in other reviews, but if you are able then do not let this put you off as it is just the last bit up to the hotel that is steep and well worth it to be that close to the town and for the incredible view from the hotel rooms. The hotel itself is brilliant, there is a lovely quiet pool with stunning views and a pool bar serving a small selection of food/drinks perfect for during the day. The rooms are immaculate, perfectly sized with very good storage and plugs/mirrors in all the right places! Close to the airport and within walking distance of everything you need, it really was perfect for our first visit to Skiathos.

A fabulous hotel, great pool with easy access to town, albeit via 66 steep steps and a short walk along a busy road, but that's the lovely island of Skiathos. Rooms were a good size, lots of storage, very clean, bed linen & towels changed very regularly. Unfortunately, we had an issue with another guest which the owned delt with sensitively and speedily. We plan to return.

This was our second stay at the Rene. A small but friendly hotel. Staff very helpful. The pool area has amazing views and the entire hotel very clean & welcoming. Pool & beach towels are available from the hotel at €1 per day. Rooms cleaned every day & fresh towels daily. The hotel is located on a hill so the location would not be ideal for those with mobility issues. The hotel is relaxing, peaceful & quiet. The hotel bar does not open late but the Poseidon hotel next door has a great roof top bar. The hotel is in a great location for town (10 mins walk), bus stop 4 (5 minutes) & other amenities. I would only have two small criticisms regarding the room. The rooms are well equipped & the bathrooms are good & showers powerful. Some of the bathrooms have shower screens whilst others have a curtain. The bedding/curtains in the rooms are fine but a little dated. Additionally the air con unit in the room we had this year was in a strange position (around a corner from the bed) so it had to be switched on all night as no direct benefit from it. This was not the case in the previous room we stayed in. All in all a great hotel in a lovely location. We are proposing a return visit.

Lovely hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and had everything you need, including small fridge and hairdryer. All rooms have sea view - the views are totally amazing. Great pool with bar and snacks all day. On a hill so expect a steep walk from Skiathos town.

Small friendly and immaculately clean hotel which provides a chilled atmosphere. Basic but meets all needs and ideally placed close but far enough away from Skiathos Town, just a 5-10 minute walk. A perfect base to explore the island with bus stop 4 just 5 minutes away. Pool area is spotless and refreshing to use, especially in August when temperatures are high. The only negative is the food menu is basic, vegetarian options were limited and not able to eat own food/snacks in public areas of hotel. Would stay again as ideal base.
