Would not even give it a 1!!!!! Mortified upon arrival the outside is dirty with overflowing bins and cigarette end and all manor of strewn rubbish. The door was half open and it absolutely stunk of **** with a bike chucked on the entrance hall floor Stairs flooring all chipped paint disgustingly dirty carpets no reception or advice just a dram which had a wrong contact number Went onto our booking to message the owner who rang and told us to wait outside the half an hour later a young guy came out and took us to what I can only describe as a room that had someone in for weeks with dirty unmade bedding no tea facilities two dirty cups stains on the bedside cabinet filthy carpet and the shower room OMG hairs poo wee stains dirt just absolute filth We took photos and walked out rang the owner who promised to refund us told us he worked away and was sorry so iv have him the Benifit of not giving a bad review for a quick refund but he has ignored all my calls DO NOT STAY HERE ITS AN ABSOLUTE **** SMOKING DOSS HOUSE NOT A HOTEL

We booked through Buyagift, as received vouchers as an early Xmas gift, to go visit family for the weekend. I called Thursday (6) times and no response until late, when the gentleman on the phone wasn't very professional but was OK. I explained we didn't know the check in process, he said we'd have to call back tomorrow (Friday check in day) for our room number and explained the keys were in the room. When we arrived Friday, I called him when we were 40 ish mins away, again took 2/3 calls to finally get through. He gave us our room number and we wondered through the "hotel" to our room. Upon arrival our door was WIDE open, with the keys sitting on the random coffee table which looked out of place. Absolutely anyone could have walked through the hotel and went into our room. The extra security of the room was 'nice' we struggled to lock and unlock the door the keys were fiddly and difficult and they re-laid carpet over the last flooring, so opening and closing the door was a task. Our room- ok the bathroom looked fairly new, but still needed a dam good scrub, was fitted by a cowboy, there were marks all over the place, window in bathroom whistled at the slightest wind, and we only recieved about 1/4 toilet roll. The room was meh, no storage, dusty, the bedding was clean, though we went through it. Under the bed has never had a clean, thick with dust, again marks all over (I very nearly walked out) the walls were paper thin, you heard absolutely everything. We didn't use the kettle as it was disgusting, sugars stolen from Costa, only 2 tea bags, 2 coffee sachets and no milk and no fridge for any milk. Best part of the room was the good sized smart TV. Oh and the door has a gap in, and they've cut a hole in the wall to accommodate the door. The joiner needs sacking! The radiator was hot, heated the room. The shower overflowed if water was on for long period of time. Everytime you flushed a loud noise went through the hotel, very annoying. The hotel is filthy, dust, marks all over, flooring not laid properly, and best of all MOULD in the reception area. We paid £150 for 2 nights in December and I wouldn't pay no more than £15 a night minimum. Absolute disgrace.

Grotty, broken shelves, dust everywhere, blood stains on the head board of the bed, watered down soap, stains everywhere and just generally depressing. This hotel drained the life out of us - avoid at all costs! The management clearly have no shame. The pictures when you book must have been taken about 10 years ago. Please avoid.

Absolutely horrendous! So bad we lasted 5 mins in the place before walking out and booking another hotel nearby. We had children with us and a 3 month old baby and this place was a complete health and safety hazard. There was no one in the house at all, no reception, a dirty bin full of cans of Stella which absolutely stunk, glasses with liquid growing mould which must have been there weeks if not months, filthy rooms, cupboard doors hanging off, all rooms open with keys just lying around!! Don’t know what kind of person could run this place and even consider it a hotel it’s an absolute disgrace to be polite 😂 would never ever stay here, if you are lucky enough to read Trip Advisor reviews before booking please do not book!! The hotel looks nothing like the *********** photos, please do not be fooled. It is also a house like someone else said with seperate rooms, all rooms were open with a sign saying ‘please lock door after 10pm’ anyone could access no safety whatsoever!

Wanted to book a room for one night and it was £50 for my wife and I . Then I added our two babies 6 month old and 21 month old. Phoned hotel . Man said it's because you get a bigger room . When online it was same room for £50 for my wife and I . Then went up to £87 for exact same room. The man is clearly obtuse and arrogant. Trading standards will be informed. Plus other reviews and decor it look like a health and safety issues there and fire hazards do will get fire officer out and health and safety and good hygiene out too.This hotel needs seriously investigations .

This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot for work! The floors had stains all over them, the doors were covered in grime, the bed was so lumpy no one would be able to sleep in it. The whole room stank of smoke and I was struggling to breathe. This hotel has clearly never been cleaned and I would genuinely believed you if you said it was a crack den, there is no words that can describe how disgusting this place is. The photos are nothing like the place, there wasn't even a headboard! I only stayed in the room for 20 minuets and that was enough. I went down to the reception and told the man that I wanted a refund as I was leaving, I would rather sleep in my car. The man did NOT looked surprised at all like this was a normal thing to happen in this hotel, he even agreed that he would not be able to sleep in a room that smelt that bad of smoke. He said that a manager would be in contact to give me a refund. I unfortunately couldn't stay and wait for a manager as I had to get ready for an event and find a new hotel! I waited for a call and never received one, I contacted the manager through *********** and he said "they try their best to resolve problems" but nothing has been done regarding this, NO refund has been issued, this place is clearly a scam and I highly doubt anyone actually stays here the night that isn't a drug dealer. I was actually concerned for my health and safety in this place and that I would catch some sort of disease, the place should be shut down for hygiene! I used to work for a homeless supported living and I have seen better accommodation for the homeless than this hotel!! AVOID at all cost!!
