OYO Ivy Hotel

1 out of 5 was only for the clean bed linen and towels. Arrived to a busy carpark at 2:30pm, absolutely no where nearby to park. When we asked if hotel staff knew where we could park, was just told 'no!' No shower, even though advertised as having shower. There was 1970's style shower head attached to bath tap with tubes! That was it! Fire alarm went off at 11:45pm, 1am and 8:30am!! Only cereal and toast at breakfast and no plates left so was told to use a bowl for the toast! Saw others having to borrow cups from family members as they'd run out of these too, and spoons! Can't believe we paid £105 for the night. Total waste of money and will NEVER return!!

OYO Ivy hotel in Skegness was awful we left very quickly after check-in yesterday 21.06.25 . The room was like an oven so hot, we had to prop the actual room door into the corridor open. Thats when we found out the windows were nailed shut so we couldnt open them, couldn't circulate any fresh air at all. There was rubbish outside the room, lift broken, Fire H&S sign on the floor, stained shower curtain I cannot bear to think what with. Absolutely awful. The customer service was not great either. We waited outside whilst a member of staff called the manager who only offered a partial refund if we stayed. We could not stay it was too hot and no air circulation with the window screwed shut ! When outside the large bin smelt absolutely disgusting. We had travelled for my Mums 80th birthday party. We were late due to this hotel experience and trying to find alternative accommodation. We could not find any where else to stay and so had to leave the party early too, to drive home 1.5 hours away. I would just like a full refund but 0 help from hotel 0 help from booking.cpm absolutely awful experience all round.

A lovely little hotel close to the sea front staff were very helpful, rooms were clean. Only problem we found was shower tray was more slippy than you would normally find, hence 4 star rather than 5. Would definitely recommend as a budget hotel

Very dark rooms, old and tired rooms. It advertises having a bar but there is not one.. surely false advertising! No breakfast, tv,s in rooms were not working. Unclean and unkempt hotel. Would not stay there again! No hot water in the morning!!!!

This hotel is shocking! It's clear they only care about you if you're paying to stay in one of their high end rooms. We booked a double - we only needed a bed to sleep but we didn't even get that. The mattress was so worn that was soon as you sat on the bed the springs moved out of the way and you were on the bed base. Both my husband and I had a terrible back the morning after and mine still hasn't recovered 2 weeks later. The bathroom had mold and the actual bedroom wasn't clean. I received multiple calls on the day to find out what time i would get there. When I informed the staff member we were running late because of traffic and fog I was told that check in closed at 10pm and that someone might not be there to check me in. I had to shout down the phone to stop him hanging up on me to get confirmation that someone would be there when we arrived. When we did finally arrive the front door was locked and we had to call a number to get someone to let us in - they weren't even in the building. Which wasn't massively reassuring. Shown to the room, not great but we only needed to sleep which we didn't get. The rooms all have electric locks on but they were installed so poorly one good push would have opened the door. We didn't leave any of our belongings in the room when we went out. We did go and speak to someone the next day but it took multiple attempts to find someone. We finally managed to speak to an area manager who happened to be there, all we wanted to do was to change rooms and they did let us change and gave us an upgrade to the type of room we originally thought we were booking. So don't be fooled by the pictures online. They also offered us a free return stay in their hotel - safe to say we will not be using it. Every time we saw them after that they just kept saying make sure to give us a good review. They clearly didn't actually care about the downfalls just that they didn't get any more bad reviews. There wasn't even anyone on check-out - we had to leave the key in the room and take a picture to prove we had left it. We asked for a refund for the first night which we thought wasn't asking much but the hotel have now gone silent and are ignoring all our attempts at communication which shows just how much they care. I wasn't expecting 5* we weren't planning on staying in the hotel but a decent night sleep in a clean room with a decent mattress isn't much to ask for. I wish I had read the reviews before booking.

On arrival no staff you have to phone a number we had 3 rooms all where not clean the mattresses all had wee poo stains pillows had it to we got told there was a leak that’s why no heating and no hot water no food or drinks either would no recommend for any one it is not liveable needs to be reported to heath and safety because this is just vile the fact they are taking people’s money as well
