Hotel Scaleta Beach

We booked a very last minute holiday here as a couple needing some “us” time. We were so pleasantly surprised when the transfer dropped us off! Christiana on reception was so welcoming (after already giving us a preferred room by sending her an email the day before). Everywhere was spotless, stunning views of the sea and a beautiful pool to swim in (larger than we thought it would be). The rooms were basic, but clean. The food was traditional and good and all we needed. The patio area where we dined was beautiful and peaceful. We ate a couple of times at the taverna opposite next to the beach, which was great quality and inexpensive. The walks along the beach to the left of the hotel took us to a picturesque beach bar for iced Greek coffees or cocktails and the sea was crystal clear. A trip to Rethymnon with bus tickets bought from the hotel cost us 4€ each return and the city is stunning. What a relaxing few days we had! We will be returning to this value for money hotel, where the staff welcome you like family! Thank you xxx

An absolute nightmare, DO NOT STAY at this disgusting, filthy so called Hotel, on arrival my room and my friends room stunk of damp & mould, no fridge in the room and that’s because we had a sea view? food was inedible unless you was a fly, plenty of them enjoying the uncovered, unlabelled trays of crap even the English speaking receptionist told us others had left the week before due to the conditions of this dump, we was offered another room which was identical to what we all ready had, this must of made the hotel (🤣🤣🤣) feel like they have helped us, exposed electrical cables, Light’s without safety covers broken tiles in the bathroom. We ended up booking air bnb for the remaining 6 days. If you have already booked, 100% don’t go, get it changed Message to Scaleta: I have read your reply’s to other complaints saying “all the other guests enjoy their stay and only complain to get a free holiday”’ You couldn’t pay me to stay here, filth.

Got a good deal... so I guess we got what we paid for. Great location (if you want to hire a car and explore Crete) Beautiful views... Air con... clean, friendly staff... The all inclusive drinks are poor in selection and quality... so don't rely on them. And as huge fans of Greek cuisine, don't expect much from the food. There are however some amazing restaurants not too far away and as before, it is an ideal location to explore beautiful Crete!

Too start with for someone that has had three heart attacks and put in a room at the very top ov the complex was not a good idea. As soon as I walked thro the door after going up the road as explained to me would be easier,which was not bathroom in front of me and a cockroach was in my bathroom.my view were a lot ov sheep in a field never mind.if you like steps your in the right place. As for all inclusive forget it, when we got there spirits were on the menu if you paid for them.only all inclusive drinks available are short measured beer, rose wine or white wine or raki everything else at a price. Food wise no labels too say what you was eating and very minimal choice in other words nothing to choose from in all view’s were outstanding and that was it never again

Do not book this hotel, the rooms were awful and staff are so rude and miserable. Me and my wife ended up paying to move next door for the last 2 nights of our 4 days away and that hotel was incredible. The all inclusive drinks are only beer wine ouzo and raki other than that you have to pay for.

This hotel was such a let down for mine and my finance's last trip away before our baby is due. would not waste money here again. The bed was rock hard and we both woke up sore most days. the shower was always cold. The food was limited to 6 options a day usually the same. Greasy undercooked meat, cold pasta. A lot of the options inedible for pregnancy. for an all inclusive, we ate soup any time we ate at the hotel as it was just that disgusting. We were told off for socializing in the lobby past 10, told to be quite, told we could not eat food even though they had nothing available after 8. There was no snack bar - this is a lie on the advertisement, and spirits for my partner were very limited, the beer was flat and they only offer two spirits.. raki and ouzo. They also don't offer bottled water or non - tap water as part of an all inclusive which i have never known. We made the most of our trip and had a great time - AWAY from this hotel. Staff could not have been ruder or more unhelpful if they tried. The only thing i will compliment is the cleaners, they are ON THE CASE every day. DO NOT book this hotel it was an absolute joke from start to finish.

I was trying to find a place to relax with my husband and i feel really lucky to find Scaleta Beach Hotel. It was exactly what we expected! We passed an unforgetable week with the best view i have ever seen by the swimming pool, relaxing and having fun. All the staff was amazing and the reception team was very helpful, having always a big smile and a good advice for anything you need! The rooms are nice and very clean and the area around the hotel makes you feel being home! The food is really delicious with enough choices for every taste. The beach is accessible in a few minutes on foot and even though the weather was not so good we really enjoyed it! We have nothing bad to say about this beautiful and well organised hotel! If you want to live a memorable holiday visit Scaleta Beach Hotel and its wonderful team!! We will surely come back!

Scaleta beach is a great place to have a relaxing holiday. Adults only. We chose a last minute holiday just to get away for a week! We just wanted a bed, a pool, food and drink. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Reception was very helpful with excursions, car hire and always happy to have a little chat. Food was very good. Something for everyone. Room and surroundings were always tidy and clean,even though the weather was very windy and dusty. Views are great. Sunset views at the pool bar were amazing. Sadly, there was a group of people who just moaned and groaned. Quite rude. Hotel is exactly as described, it's a 3 star not 5. So much to enjoy and see instead of moaning. Hotel is on a hill so not recommended for people with health or mobility issues. Keep smiling Scaleta!

After reading the reviews we were a little bit confused....Everything is exactly as we booked so there wasn't anything that we were surprised about...A small family hotel with the staff working as a team to give you the best of themselves. Rooms have been always clean and provided with the basics needs. The food has always something for a vegetarian and a lot of fresh salads and fruits. About the beach they could not do anything more as you can't fight the weather and the sea. Only negative was a group of six person that tried their best to upset everyone including us as a couple. Sometimes the problem comes from the people not the hotel. Hope to see you again team Scaleta!
