Recently left the wonderful Borgo Pantano property and what a joy. The whole set up is run extremely well led by the owner Giusi who is a consummate host and seemingly ever present! Her team are equally good and go beyond to make your stay special. Notably Fabrizio, Agata, Elenor, Alberto, and Emmanuel but everyone is lovely. The breakfast is totally unique and one you will not have seen the like of before, mostly home made and a divine feast - stunning! Rooms are spacious as are the beautifully kept grounds outside. The pool is peaceful and very clean. The evening on site restaurant is also first class. I guess there are some anomalies why this isn’t rated a 5 star property (the gym does need to be upgraded) but in my opinion it very much offers that class on many levels. We will be returning asap.

We stayed three nights at this beautiful property. The owner is a gracious host who warmly interacts with her guests. Amazing breakfast buffet. Evening dining offers ambiance and delicious food. A great place to relax after sight seeing.

I can honestly say the Hotel Borgo Pantano is absolutely brilliant! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. So much to say…from the very comprehensive local detail provided on arrival, our very comfortable room, fantastic breakfast and very high quality restaurant, this will take some beating. However, our biggest joy was meeting the amazing Guisi and her hardworking team. By the end of our stay, we felt like family! Thank you so much..it was a pleasure to meet you all!

What a beautiful place. A calm green oasis, with fantastic staff who are totally dedicated to customer service. The rooms are all a little different, and are finished to a high quality with some unusual and attractive locally made features. The dining room is separate from the main buildings, and approached across well manicured lawns, seductively lit at night. The pool area is very attractive. The extensive garden area is planned with all types of visitors in mind, including a separate (heated) pool and play area for those guests with children. The morning breakfast buffet on the upper terrace is excellent, with a huge selection. Lunch and dinner are served in the main separate dining room and is well prepared and served. A nice touch is that Giusi, the owner of the hotel takes a personal interest, and welcomes every guest at breakfast and dinner. There is plenty of space for car parking and Siracusa is just 20 minutes away. Overall, a beautifully maintained and run hotel which is a “must do” when you visit Sicily. In our short 10-day trip to Sicily we stayed in five different 4-star hotels. All very nice but Borgo Pantano stands out as the best.

The hotel is located in beautiful grounds. The service was impeccable. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome. We went ti Sicily to celebrate our anniversary and were upgraded to a junior suite, which was modern and spacious. Dinner was delicious and the staff couldnt do enough for you. Shuttle service to Ortigia is ideal if youre not driving. Would definitely return and absoutely recommend. See you soon. This resort is designed for summer so in March may not be at its best. Positives: super staff, nothing too much trouble; lovely pool and good breakfast buffet. Negatives: antiseptic white decor with hard floors and ikea-y furnishings, 4000 kelvin lights. Bus tours of older Americans obviously love being in Sicily without having to deal with Sicilia. Not our thing, could be yours.

This hotel is a little slice of heaven, we really wanted the opportunity to relax and take a break and this place delivered. What really sets it apart is the amazing staff who cannot do enough to help you they are helpful no query/ question to big or small. Also the breakfast is AMAZING. The whole place has a relaxed, chilled vibe not so many people it feels cramped and the place is beautiful with gorgeous accessories. The room was contemporary and so clean the bedding smelt amazing. The owner is very present which is a lovely touch as really makes you feel like you matter. Food in the restuarant is amazing my husband declared he had the best beef he ever tasted here. The shuttle is great my only recommendation is this was more flexible with times. Also a shuttle to beach would be great. Would love to return some day. Thank you so much to all the staff who help keep the place amazing, you certainly made us smile.

A lovely two night stay on our travels. Everywhere you look there is extensive attention to detail in everything : the rooms, the patios, the terrace for breakfast, the restaurant by the pool and the extensive mature spread of landscaped gardens with orange and lemon groves, loungers, gazebos and extensive furnished nooks and crannies of delight. Staff are very attentive throughout and with the sun shining sitting by the pool surrounded by the gardens and diving house martins, it does indeed feel like paradise imagined. Restaurant service is attended by and overseen by the hotel owner and she adds Sicilian charm and 'old school' atmosphere to the proceedings in her personal way. It is a good distance (8 kms) from Syracuse, so transport (car or taxi) is needed if you want to venture out for sightseeing or eating although there is a shuttle bus at €15 per room that runs twice daily at 10.30 and 2.00 for 3 hours stay in town, return included although you may wish to stay longer and taxi back. No evening entertainment so this is the place for a chill out of peace and tranquility away from it all.. A great place to end our hectic two week tour around Sicily. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for - and more. So no complaints.

Amazing gem in southern Sicily. Can't fault anything as the food, service, grounds, room and pool are spot on . If you are looking to get away from it all and relax in beautiful surroundings come here. Guisy and her wonderful staff are very welcoming. We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here. This lovely hotel is highly recommended.
