Back in the 80's. Herbert Hoffman owned this resort and it was voted the # 1 resort in Canada. Going up there, you'd understand why. It was well maintained, top of the notch "everything" from guides to food in the dining area to fishing boats and on and on. I miss the lodge. It says now that it's "Permanantly Closed". Breaks my heart to read that. It does. Herbert and his family were one of a kind. Again, it was voted # 1 in Canada more than one year in a row. Clean well kept jewel if you will... Make you R.I.P. Herb and Mary Ann.
