Delfini

We had a lovely time at Delfini, the staff are very helpful, the restaurant is good and the rooms comfortable. There is access to the sea directly from the hotel and it was a great pleasure to sit on the lovely terrace overlooking the sea for breakfast.

My husband, Don, and I stayed three nights at the Hotel Delfini in June 2023. The hotel was booked for us by our travel agent, and we couldn't have been more delighted. The setting is magnificent - I was genuinely blown away by the view. A big part of the charm of Sifnos - and our reason for visiting - is that it's a relatively smaller and less touristed island. The hotel reflected this intimacy, and ability to get 'closer' to the big views. I couldn't get enough of our stunning view. Hard to believe we were really there :-) Our accommodation was perfect - I hadn't realised it was an apartment. So spacious and comfortable. We both wished we could have stayed longer. Although it's only about a 20 minute scenic stroll into town, we were able to obtain a lift in from the very kind and friendly staff. It was also super-convenient to have both a restaurant open late as part of the hotel, and another taverna and infinity pool immediately adjacent to it. (The deal at the latter was that you only needed to buy a drink in order to use the pool) The hotel also offers some apartments with private spas. We used the communal spa right outside our apartment; never saw anyone else in it, so it was perfect. Most of all, I'd like to thank the charming Pepi and her son, Theo, for their warm hospitality. I'm especially grateful to them for posting my travel bag back to me. I only realised it was missing when we reached our next island, and immediately phoned Theo. He kindly assured me everything was secure, and agreed to post the bag back to me. It arrived safe and sound. Ευχαριστω πολι, Πεπι! We hope to see you again one day soon. Pepi also arranged a wonderful half-day tour of Sifnos for us with Christine's 'Sifnos Experience'. Christine is a fabulous tour guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her. We hadn't wanted to hire a car, so she picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel; it couldn't have been easier.

Loved the family run Delfini Hotel. Great communication with Pepe. Free pickup at port, breakfast included, great views. Directly across from the port. Great large rooms. We stayed in #14, large sitting room, balcony. large bedroom down a few steps. Wonderful restaurant, had our 37th wedding anniversary dinner here. Thank you Pepe & Kris for a wonderful stay.

Delfini was a pleasant surprise. The best food on the island. We were warmly greeted and taken care of like we were family. It was so peaceful and quiet . We would stay there again. Breakfast or dinner was fantastic. There also was hiking trails right off of the property. Spectacular views.

Absolutely relaxing stay. The staff were awesome and attentive, the food was delicious, and the room was comfortable with picturesque views of Sifnos. My son forgot his headphones in his bed, which we only discovered after we had checked out, and the hotel mailed them to us at our hotel Athens. That is just above and beyond expectations, and we really appreciated the assistance. Definitely want to go back and my kids want to see all the cats again. There's a trail to the northwest of the hotel leading to a small church, and a herd of goats uses it at night. You'll hear their bells and bleating, which adds to the experience.

Just returned from a beautiful 2 weeks at the Delphini. It’s been said in other reviews but this stunning, friendly, unpretentious hotel is really special. Located just 10 mins walk from Kamares, your day will start with a relaxed breakfast overlooking the bay. Kamares itself offers a very family friendly beach, a good - although not huge - selection of tavernas. But if you like pools, the 7seas pool that is physically connected (but a separate business than the Delphini) is awesome. Just strikes the right balance of being smart but not pretentious. We like to try different tavernas when on holiday (it’s part of the fun, right?) but we ate in the Delphini once and it was delicious. Thanks to Pepi, Delfine and everyone else for making our family holiday so relaxing!

Amazing setting in Kamares with one of the most beautiful sunset ever. Very nice room and hotel. - WiFi not working at all in room - Sometimes smell of sewage in the bathroom - Impression from photos that the large pool is part of the hotel but it’s actually separate with a fee to use it - The local staff there were super friendly to us and made us feel very welcome

This was probably our favourite property that we stayed at during our trip to Greece while also visiting Athens and 2 other islands. The pictures on its website don't do it justice because the rooms are very comfortable and clean and more up-to-date than we had expected. We were in one of the rooms with a private pool as well and yes, although the pool is not heated - it definitely does not need to be. It was cleaned everyday. There is a rocky beach at the bottom of the property. It is actually easily accessible and is a beautiful little inlet that leads out into the sea. Great for snorkeling or a dip. They have a few loungers that are available to use as well. The restaurant that is attached to this hotel also serves delicious food. We ate here several times because it was so good! What made this hotel stand out however was the hospitality and friendliness of the owner Pepi, her children who worked at the restaurant, as well as her staff. They were always so welcoming and happy to help with whatever we needed. As a tip - if you arrive by ferry, it is advisable to find transportation to the hotel. It is not an "easy" walk especially with luggage!

I stayed here for a week with friends and it was a dream!! I loved our private room, which included a private pool that was cleaned daily! It was spacious and very luxurious. The shower does kind of flood, so I'm not sure if there could be some bumper guard or something installed. The restaurant is amazing and the food is incredible. Everyone on the island told us to try it!
