Résidences Kandahar

Aminona.....There are two ways :either you fall in love with this place, or you just hate it and never want to go back. There is no '' middle way''. I will describe now my personal experience, then I will give some advices about how to improve your stay. For me personally Kandahar Aminona is the best place in The world :quiet, away from people,warm in winter (most of the south Apartments are facing the sun, thus in months like February to April you don t need Heating), in summer the North Apartments are cold, you don t need air condition.For me being able to live without electricity for a month is far more important than walking a Chanel bag in Konstablewache, or wearing a A P watch in Motcomb Street in London. You May laugh about this, but New rich for me is waking up without an alarm clock(i do not own a watch in my second home) visiting places that nobody knows about and living as far as I can from people.... and shops. Smile smile smile Kandahar for me is home,since my first night here i did not want to quit this place anymore. Nor did my Cat. I like Crans, and I Love Montana too, but Aminona is the only place that offers me The luxury to not see anybody if I don t wish to, where I can walk for miles without saying '' bonjour'' to anybody, and where i can sleep 12 hours without having the house keeper ringing at my door for any reason. Any 5 star hotel anywhere in The World will knock at your door if by 11 am they do not see your face. About Kandahar:what to expect, what you will find(you will find what you ve payed for!!!!!), and what could /should be improved. What you will find:there are two sorts of Apartments:ones that are managed by Residence Kandahar, which by the way in the good days owned more than twenty Apartments, now they only manager two(i Wonder why),and second category:Apartments that were restored, where the owners invested some good money for renovations, they try to keep them as clean as possible, and they really try their Best to make the visitors feel like home and give them a 5 star experience. In both cases there is one thing that counts the most:The view! The view in Kandahar is amazing, the Apartments facing south are the most priviledged ones, there is no other place in Valley that i could think of that has this view:maybe the Tour Of Vermala.My advice:book the Apartments that look modern, that have reviews that are verified(!!!) , that have a good note regarding cleaning, and where the owner or the person in charged answers to your demands. And those demands should be simple:easy check in, eventually someone that will await for you UPON CHECK IN. Think:there are 350 apartments and Studios, it will Take you hours to reach the Apartment you ve booked. Basic things like toillet paper, forks, knives:and not plastic ones:Smile smile smile, a good Coffee machine with Coffee pads(in extra season the closest Coffee Shop on Mondays and Tuesday s-Taillens Violettes is CLOSED, so you will have to take the Bus untill Mon
