Great 5 star Hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Food was exceptional, service was outstanding. Highly recommended.

What a little paradise this hotel is! Outstanding service, very friendly staff, fantastic rooms, and perfect location to use as a starting to explore Ankor Wat. I usually never write reviews but in this case I had to. Thanks a lot to the team - we had wonderful 3 days.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had, and definitely the best value for money. The staff and service are incredible. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the food is remarkably good. Extended our stay from 2 to 4 nights -- we'd originally planned to spend our last 2 nights at the Park Hyatt Siem Reap, but realized we were enjoying the Shintana just the same for 1/5th the price. I couldn't recommend the place any more strongly.

The staff were all very polite! The owner also went out of his way to greet us and explain the hotel to us. He answered even the smallest of questions and provided attentive service to all our needs. The rooms were well-cleaned and the food was delicious. This hotel made me want to come back to Cambodia again. Thank you very much.

I stayed here alone, but two hotel staff members asked me in surprise, "Are you here alone?", so it didn't seem like a hotel that welcomed solo travelers. It's fine to have different values, but I think it's outdated to be surprised that the hotel staff came alone. If they're going to react like that, I think they should have banned solo travelers from the start. There were very few rooms, and the hotel staff served each group individually with great care, which may suit some people, but it didn't suit me, as I felt like I was being watched. It seems to have been renovated, but the oldness of the facilities in places bothered me. I wish it had been just a minor issue, but I had a very scary experience of being locked in the bathroom, perhaps because the lock was not set properly, and since then I've been scared of going into a small space and locking it, and it's traumatized me. Even though there were no basic updates, the customer service was very polite, and I'm sorry to say that it felt creepy to me, and I wanted to get out of this hotel as soon as possible.
