Wildflower Hall, An Oberoi Resort, Shimla

Beautiful property, a bit expensive but worth the penny..!!

Wildflower Hall What a fantastic stay. From the moment you rolled up to the front of the hotel a calmness and serenity enveloped you. The staff were attentive and friendly and, genuinely, there was nothing too difficult for them to do for you. We were offered a blessing and given a local style Himachal hat as we entered , followed by a delightful welcoming spiced apple tea whilst our bags were taken care of. When we were ready we were shown to our room where the checkin process was effortlessly completed and an offer to show us around the hotel was politely declined by ourselves so that we could explore at our leisure. But first, the room! Room 309. Remember that number because it is a room that was beyond compare. It was at the front of the hotel and looked out onto the immaculately kept lawns and garden. We were relatively high up and as such the room was into the roof space but this just gave it a quirky feel. There was acres of space and it also had a sofa and 2 chairs forward of the enormous bed. The walk in wardrobe was fantastic; room for everything and kept all the suitcases and bags out of the main part of the room. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath so as to avoid that cold wet sticky shower curtain experience all too common place when the shower is over the bath. It was fully equipped with some very pleasant toiletries and everything was there that you may have forgotten and if it wasn’t, then a quick call to housekeeping was all that was needed to resolve the issue. The bed was large and very comfortable and there was a pillow menu too but we were quite happy with the pillows already on the bed. I was also celebrating a birthday and there was a congratulations cake on the table and the room was decorated with rose petals and fantastic towel sculptures. Thank you for that. Final touch was a lovely bowl of fresh fruit on the table. The facilities at the hotel were incredible. The indoor pool was beautifully decorated and had plenty of indoor sun beds. A door led to the outer patio area with more sun beds under delightfully coloured parasols and an infinity style jacuzzi with amazing views over the mountains all around. The pool attendant (Vinod?) was brilliant. He made sure we had plenty of water to keep hydrated and sunscreen for the sunny weather. We didn’t use the other spa and gym facilities but they looked fantastic. More akin to a private club than a hotel. Eating at the hotel was a very much come and be comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with an extensive buffet selection and also ordering at the table for several types of western and traditional Indian dishes. The Masala Dosa were lovely and the Eggs Benedict delicious. We went to the restaurant in the evening and had a lovely Indian style meal of Chat Samosa (shared starter) and then a chicken biryani and butter chicken style dish ***** with a butter naan. Couldn’t finish the meal as we were both absolutely stuffed but it was lovely. Th

Must visit at least once for a soothing and serene experience at this vintage place. Everything is just perfect and very comforting from food to the staff members. You won't have to get out of this property as it has much more to offer. Short trails, games, spa and evening sessions are there in a daily basis which you can enjoy and relax.

Wonderful stay, superb hospitality, beautiful grounds, excellent hospitality and great food. It’s not often that one wants to go back to the same place immediately but that’s the case with us. It is truly an idyllic place, beautiful, comfortable and the staff perfectly attentive and we didn’t lack for anything

Simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Stunning location ✅ Infinity hot tub with a view of the Himalayas (you will never tire of sitting there looking at that view!!) ✅ Amazing rooms ✅ Fabulous breakfast ✅ Ridiculously attentive customer service (without being cloying) ✅ Particularly enjoyed the daily activities - went on a guided nature walk and listened to a history talk. Both great. Our trip there was a birthday celebration and they really went all out to make sure I felt special which I very much appreciated. From the moment we set foot in the hotel to the moment we checked out, we were SO well looked after. Best ever!

We love stay at this hotel! from the breakfast to dinner everything was amazing. The service of all sraff was impecable frienly and professional Thank you! Only one thing is there is no comb at my washroom but is not important! Hope we will come again some day from Argentina
