Yunshuipan Hotel（Ashima Town store）

This was my most dissatisfying hotel of my trip. The reviews have to be fake or by friends of the owners or by people who do not know what a good hotel is like. The reception area is ok and people tried to be friendly. Asked for a non smoking room and it doesn’t exist at this hotel. The minute you walk onto the elevator it smells like smoke. A man got onto the elevator with a cigarette and it clearly says no smoking. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes and they had a sign saying no smoking in the bed. That’s dumb because the minute you smoke in the room everything smells like cigarettes. The pillow the drapes the shower smelled like cigarettes. The bed was comfortable but it smelled of smoke. The shower had no large bottles of conditioner or body wash or shampoo. We found some small bottles. Everything in the hotel said cheap. The room even came with a contraceptive or rubber. The neighborhood was depressing and had no nice shopping nearby. The biggest issues outside of the smoke smell everywhere was the terrible breakfast. No hot tea was provided and containers were left unfilled and fruits were bad even the edamame was overcooked. The guests were boiling their own noodles as the staff sat around and did nothing. The chairs outside needed cleaning and the only thing they did not mess up was a hard boiled egg. To be blunt my dog eats better food than this hotel serves its guests. Even the tea in the room was the cheapest you could find. Don’t go here unless you are a chain smoker who doesn’t know anything about food.

Super clean. Plenty of USB ports, which was useful for me to charge my drone equipment. Good noodles for breakfast. 20 minutes ride to Stone Forest. 30 minutes away from a train station. Food attention to details. Curtains have magnetic pins, so the light does not pass though holes in the morning. Service wise, restaurant personnel was good. Both days evening shift at reception was great, while morning had some wrong attitude (3.15-3.17). Overall, decent price value.

Conveniently located if one is going to Stone Forest as it is within 30 min drive vs staying at Kunming centre. The hotel is newly renovated in Jun/Jul 2023. Place is clean, modern with lift. Bed is comfortable. WiFi is good. Breakfast adequate but not fantastic. Most important it is really value for money. The pathway to the rooms smell cigarettes. Fortunately, our rooms are cigarette smell free.

在攜程上找石林那邊酒店，應該也沒什麼比較好的，將就住了一晚。不過石林景區還是很美的。
