100% recommended hotel, nice beds and well cleaned room. Enough parkings and quiet space. Breakfast is just bravo, ladies are so nice to help. More than happy to coming back again.

Placed on one of the busiest roads and no sound proofing in the rooms. Good place for walking though and close to the art gallery and Botanical Gardens. However very expensive rooms for level of service. TVs don't work very well and are awkward to use.

Went to the restaurant yesterday( public holiday). We have arrived at 7.40 pm and the first thing the waitress named Mary said to us was “you better hurry up and eat because we will be closing at 9 pm to the dot”. no greetings. nothing. When she picked up the menus off the table, she was in such a hurry and ended up dropping some of my cutlery on the floor but never even bothered to pick them up or replace them with new ones. When the food arrived at the table, she just slammed the food on the table and didn’t even bothered to pour water into our glasses. Mind you, this is a fine-dining restaurant and we expect high standards. Even though the restaurant was meant to close at 9 pm, she stared packing everything up by 8.05 pm. It was very noisy in the back, dropping things and chatting. By 8.40 pm all the lights were turned off and they were ready to leave, while we were still eating. Halfway through our meal, she left the dessert at the side of the table, leaving the ice cream to melt. Restaurant closing for dining at 9 pm does not mean that the workers get to go home at 9 pm as well. The standard service should be provided until 2100 hours and the cleaning can commence afterwards. Zero stars for the service

Recently I was required to stay in Shepparton for work, I was delighted to find that there was a mid week price that rivalled the motel the company I work for usually engages with. For business reasons this hotel was better placed for my recent trip. Located across from Victoria Lake, it is very easy to locate. It is also walking distance to the eateries in town, however if you are overnighting the restaurant at the hotel is exquisite. Customer service was professional and welcoming. I arrived about 19:00 and left at 04:30 so I did not really get time to do more than sleep. The room is adequately appointed and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. There is a huge chair in the corner of the room that was just wonderful to sink into to watch some television. Shower has amazing pressure and it was a good size. Parking is very reasonable and there is an exit onto the side street making it easy to get in and out of.

We found this hotel online. It did not disappoint. We were traveling through for work and wanted a nice place to spend the night after driving and visiting clients all day. Perfect place for us. We booked a suite overlooking the lake, which was incredibly spacious and well appointed. The staff here are really attentive and look after you. The amenities are wonderful and the restaurant…what can one say? The menu had plenty of options and the meals we chose were absolutely delicious! The staff were brilliant. You really must try the restaurant if you are staying here! Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Shepparton and we certainly will stay here next time we visit.

The lady at reception was so rude to my husband when we checked in. Not welcoming at all. Short and abrupt. Then I had an issue with the coffee pods as they didn’t replenish them each day. (We stayed for three nights). So I approached the receptionist and asked why our pods had not been replaced, and she rudely ran through a list of what the maid staff were ‘only’ supposed to do on a longer stay and apparently replacing coffee pods was not one of them!!!! What the actual F””k!!! Apparently replacing/cleaning coffee cups and glasses isn’t either!!! So I could have booked separately for three nights and got my coffee pods each day… but because I booked for the three days at once, we only got two coffee pods for 3 days!!! Doesn’t make sense! I have never stayed anywhere where they do not replace coffee pods!!! That should be costed into each nights stay. (Which it probably is) We stay in Shepp at least 2-3 times per year and we will never be staying at the Carrington again. Back to the Parklake for us. A note to the receptionist….rude doesn’t win you business, It’s a no brainer. City folk look forward to getting away from stuffy Melbournians to spend time with relaxed cheery country folk. Not the other way around!! And after seeing the amount of cars parked in your motel last night compared to Parklake, a little adjustment in your attitude might help your business finances and your review ratings!

Even though it was only for one night the service was great.Receptionist was helpful and pleasant. Rooms were very clean and bed was super comfy. Restaurant was excellent. Great position. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Some very good things but some negatives brought it back to 3 rating. We booked the better riiverview room. Room was nice and spacious but the busy road noise and scorching sun in day and street lights at night meant we had to keep the doors shut and blinds drawn. The receptionist on Friday and Sat day shift was fantastic. The other receptionost on Sat evening and Sunday morning was quite unpleaseant. Our tv arial was broken and they were not able to have someone fix it - on the p us it was a smart TV so we could use iview. Pool and outdoor areas was nice, water quite cool which is what i like. Nice distance for walking to the city centre and the beautiful lake walk is just across the road.
