Shenzhen Haiyue Hotel (Nanshan Window Shop of the World）

The location of the hotel is very convenient, lots of places to get food nearby and the closest metro stop is only few minutes of walking away. The room is clean and comfortable, everything necessary to have a comfortable stay is provided by the hotel. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and book again :)

Do Not Disturb status means nothing at this place, housekeeping was ignoring it every day and still entering the room. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Additionally, there is some banging on the roof, even with windows closed still was hearing it 24/7, not a place for light sleepers at all.

The room is small but clean and new. I had some trouble with AC but figured it later. Cleaning crew was very friendly and helpful even though I don’t speak any Chinese. There are many bbq restaurants around the hotel.

Don't bother unless you like to sleep inside an ashtray. It smelled like an ashtray the moment we stepped inside the elevator. Our room was on the 6th floor and my nose started burning as soon as the elevator door opened. I smoked for 20+ years before I quit 10 years ago and I can't stand the smell, let alone my wife and kids. We are a family of four with a 3 and a 9 years old kid, after staying in the room for 5 minutes, we headed down to the front desk and asked for another room on a different floor. If we didn't got there very late (right before midnight) and extremely tired due to the crazy bad weather, we would have fought to get our money back for all three nights and left ASAP. The only option was a smaller room with a smaller bed on 7th floor. The guy went up to 6th floor with us to check out and he said he can smell only a little when himself smelled like a cigarette already. After we checked the room on 7th floor out and accepted the offer, we then went back down to the first room to pick up our luggage and the hotel person asked us to pick up the the paper we threw in the trash can ourselves and carry it with us. What the!?!?! We took the room on 7th as it was a lot better than 6th floor but still had a smell of cigarettes. The vents of the mini split AC were broken in both rooms and they are blowing directly to the bed. The vents were dirty and had mold on them. The rooms were not really clean and no soap of any kind provided. The WIFI system was wacked, have to have a China phone number in order to receive text msg for getting the password. We have data sims without phone numbers like most tourists. We originally booked for three nights. After I paid double and booked a room in another hotel, I was able to cancel and get my money back for the next two nights by pressing a few buttons in the trip.com app which was unexpected. 5 stars for trip.com. 0 star for the hotel.
