Hotel Shantou Jinping District

Modern hotel. Less than 10 min walk to Long Yan Nan food street, Suning mall & Wang Xiang Cheng mall. Check in service staff are helpful. Free self service laundry and porridge supper. Sound proofing not great, but generally quiet after midnight. Pillows & mattress very comfortable. Robot delivered bottled water to room. However, there is only 1 lift that serves all 4 floors.

Good hotel in a great location, definitely would come back to this hotel! Only minutes walk from Mix C department store, where you can find a lot of things to buy, eat or drink. Although there are Banks of China but we could not withdraw money, and we're not sure where the ATM for foreigners are in Shantou. Not sure if ABC bank is around, but we could withdraw money from ABC bank in Jiuzhaigou and Chengdu.

During the Chinese New Year, I changed 4 different accommodations in Chaoshan and Quanzhou, including hotels and internet celebrity homestays. The room is also good. The only disadvantage is that the false window room will be a bit stuffy. Although it is during the Chinese New Year, we are afraid of heat, so we contacted the housekeeper to help us adjust it to the cooling mode. The housekeeper's service is very good and the problem is solved quickly. He also told us the specific location and time of the Yingge dance performance, and patiently helped me navigate, etc. In short, I was very satisfied with these two nights. I will stay again if I have the opportunity to come to Shantou again in the future. In comparison, I have to complain again about the Chaozhou internet celebrity homestay I stayed in the past two days-Zhoushang.13. I spent 2800+, twice the price of Yongping Hotel, to book a room. The expectation I reported before departure was also the highest, but the experience was really bad. It was expensive and the service was bad. It was no different from the homestay I booked in Nan'ao for 1700, but their room had a bathtub and a sea view, and the sea view was unbeatable. The housekeeper of Room 13 was even rude. I really don't know where so many good reviews came from. I guess they were all posted by someone. Although it claims to be very close to the Guangji Bridge, once the bridge is demolished, there is no way to go back to the hotel after dinner in the ancient city. You can only take a taxi and make a big detour to cross the river. It looks close to the scenic spot, but in fact, the transportation is very inconvenient after the bridge is demolished. Sisters who go to Chaoshan to play remember to avoid that popular homestay. The pictures on the Internet are seriously inconsistent with the actual experience. I never want to go to Chaozhou again...Shantou is much better planned than Chaozhou

Services and location are pretty good. Hygiene is very good. I like the shower utility the most, it’s really comfortable. I requested for help with the television and the staff was very efficient and helpful. One disappointment is the efficiency of the wifi and charging battery is way too slow. Overall, I had a satisfy experience there!

The location is right next to McDonald's in the small park, close to the small park area but not too crowded. McDonald's check-in point downstairs. If you want less people, just get up early in the morning, around 7:30, you can take as many photos as you want The front desk service is very good, providing city walk and dining information, and is also happy to provide assistance The whole family is satisfied with the stay. Note that you need to plan ahead a little more for taxis. I'm not sure if it's because it's busy during the holidays or something else, but it's better to plan ahead 10-15 minutes.

Although the room I booked is small, it is not depressing to live alone, and the sound insulation is good and I can sleep well. The location of the hotel is also very good. It is located opposite the small park. The distance is really close. You can reach it in just a split second. It is very friendly to foreigners. Hotel occupies 4 stories of a mixed use building. It looks like a temporary hotel as there are construction works of another hotel or the same hotel going on within the same building. As the builders use the same 2 lifts serving the building, the lifts are very dirty and dusty as a result. There’s also no access control to the 4 hotel floors which means any outsider could enter the “hotel” corridors. Aside from this, the room was comfortable enough. The beds, pillows and sheets were new and comfortable. The room also overlooked the 内湾 river. For the price, however, it was disappointing that the room wasn’t equipped with a mini fridge, a rack for luggage, and adequate hooks for clothes. Many other budget hotels are better equipped.
