The Tesco Hotel is located in a convenient location, it is only 3 minutes away from the center of the ancient city. The main part of the B & B is a steel-mixed-earth structure to avoid the sound insulation of the traditional wood structure. Design philosophy is open, innovative, humane and functional, with emphasis on the functioning and spatial organization of the various areas and on the formal beauty of the structure itself. The design is simple and generous, and the space is clean and transparent. The room heating facilities are all water-heating. It is most suitable during the dry season of Shangri-La. It is a great stay, near to attractions, helpful staffs to help us with carrying luggage and bags, even sent us to our car pickup station.

The hotel location is very good. Not at the centre but near the ancient city. Very convenient for muslim travellers also as the hotel is located near halal restaurant. Just walked for about 3-5 min. The hotel room is very clean. Also got a free room upgrade. The staff is very helpful and attentive to our needs.

Owner is very responsive with my questions. The owner will fetch you at the Shangrila high speed railway station if you stayed for at least 2 nights. Nice and simple breakfast was provided, great thumb up for the lady who prepared the breakfast in early morning. They will carry your luggage to your room as the room is located at level 2 (by stair). We have also washed our cloth in their hotel lobby (with soap provided). Owner is very caring where they provided the oxygen provider to us in our room. Overall good experience.

Love our homestay, free station pickup and welcome with free afternoon tea. Laundry machine and detergent are available for use without extra charge. They even help us with our luggage during check in and check out. They offered to send us to station after check out for free even though it was not included in our booking. Room equiped with oxygen supply. The location is just next to Dukezong Ancient Town. Lots of eateries, supermarket and ancient costume rental nearby which makes everything very convenient. Didi taxi to Songzanlin Monastery only cost CNY12 one way.

The location is good, just outside the ancient city. And they provide free transport to the train station. Everything else is nothing much to shout about, compared to our other hotels during the stay. The biggest downside is the heating, which is centralised and we can't control on our own. So even though it says there is floor heating, the room is still very very cold at night. Luckily the bed has heating but it is a bit too hot. So at night we were caught in the dilemma of the bed being too hot but the room being too cold.

This was our first time visiting Shangri-La and we chose to stay here. They are very helpful, they have a shuttle service from the train station and also offer tours. The room is spacious, clean, comfortable, the floor is warm.And in the room there is an oxygen machine and a humidifier. Very impressed with the visit to this city. We recommend staying here when visiting Shangri-La.
