I booked the guest room river view for 2 nights, and was upgraded to th larger guest room bund view. The view of the Pudong skyline is spectacular and well worth it. Only negative is despite being on the highest floor, there was quite a lot of road noise coming from the busy road nearby. Other than that, soundproofing between the rooms and hallway is very good

If you want a quiet area where you can walk leisurely and relax from the hustle and bustle of life, Hengshan Garden Hotel is for you. There are plenty of nice restaurants around the area and a short walk to the park. The service especially the concierge and the cleaning aunties are most significant as they are friendly and most willing to render assistance. I will consider coming here again in Autumn for the scenic tree lined street.

SAVHE Hotel is a new high - end lifestyle brand under Atour Group. In the Gaoligong Mountains, where the power of primitive life thrives ceaselessly, SAVHE in the Lisu language means "breath". One can experience the flowing life in every breath. The design inspiration comes from the oriental garden within a limited space. It is an oriental story about Time | Space | Breath, where nature and human traces co - exist in harmony at the border.

🏨Shanghai North Bund Sahe Hotel
🪑Design: The overall atmosphere is great. The hotel is calm and looks very comfortable. There are some relaxing pool designs at the entrance, which is really nice.
🛏️Facilities: I chose this hotel because it is a new one. The overall facilities are pretty good, except that the bed is a little soft. But they provide two types of pillows, which is good enough. The bedside plug also has Type-C, details that are usually only found in new hotels. The only really bad thing is the sink, the basin is too low and the faucet is too prominent, so it's easy to get water all over the table when washing your face. But they were thoughtful enough to provide face towels! This is really in line with the trend! I use LeLabo for my cleansing and skincare products. I like them very much. They have a long lasting fragrance.
🥗Food: I think Chef Cao is really thoughtful. His soup and soy milk are freshly made in the morning. The taste is different. I quite like their breakfast. The scallion oil noodles are also delicious. There is also afternoon tea in the afternoon. There are also midnight snacks (beef noodles and wontons) at night, which is really good. 👍 If you bring your elders and children, I think you will still choose their hotel.
👤Service: The service is great. The service staff will greet you. There is also a WeChat butler, and the replies are immediate.

I have stayed in multiple hotels in SH. Including The Conrad, Renaissance, Pudong Intercontinental and Maxx. Maxx is definitely a hotel with Character, Style, and Color. unlike your everyday & everywhere the same ‘typical 5* hotel’ it has many ‘caring’ features for a truly delightful experience. the flowery scent of the lobby area and the service coffee machine and tomatoes in the lobby, are just some of the small but very delicate warmth that I felt while staying at Maxx. the wooden floor in the room was very good too, especially with kids because carpet floors, how ever much you clean, it does have that raggedy smell with time. but not at maxx. The view? second to none obviously. the location? prime - right in front of the ferry to pudong. and 5-10mins from yuyuan gardens. Especially, the staff. I have had my share of rather unfriendly staff in China. But all of maxx’s staff were sooooo friendly and warm and kind. the door men (both Chinese and western person) - they helped us every time we went up and down the entrance stairs with our pram with the baby, and the check in staff were so caring too. And i see a lot of people complaining about the fact that the staff are not fluent in English. Bro, turn on your google translate man. you are half way across the Earth in China, and no where does it say anywhere ‘our staff are fluent in English’ - ‘when in Rome…’ - But to be fair, Maxx had multiple lady staff who were sufficient in English to my surprise, and she was really nice and helpful. (please give her a raise lol).
Anyway I will definitely stay here again w/o even looking at other hotels in SH for sure. 10/10.

The environment is really good, and it lives up to the name of ”garden”. The facilities are relatively new, and the room is well equipped, including smart toilets, refrigerators, etc. The bedding, showers, and toiletries are also relatively comfortable.
The design of the lobby is very distinctive, and the open-air lobby is very grand. The executive lounge and outdoor swimming pool are also quite atmospheric~

As a business traveller, when I go to a hotel, I crave familiarity, as there are often enough surprises at work. At the Radisson Xing Guo, I had high expectations, check-in process was smooth and the room was nice. However, when I came back after work, the dirty cups were still inside my room and when I called down to front desk, they sent replacement glasses from room service without any spoons after a long wait. On my second day returning from work, there was only half the normal nunber of bottles of water. The continuous little errors were unfortuante as I never knew what else would go wrong. Hotel overall was nice, and should definitely spend more time training room servicing staff.

AAmasejThe room is well-equipped and offers stunning views, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The design of the hotel is slightly older, but the room itself is functional and charming.
The pool and whirlpool, are well-maintained and offer a beautiful view, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Both areas are clean and thoughtfully designed. During our visit over Golden Week, the hotel was understandably busy, especially at breakfast. While the service throughout the hotel is professional, English proficiency is limited, except at the front desk, which mirrors the trend in many hotels in the region.

MMeikoHAfter experiencing the luxurious service and comfortable facilities of Senz Hotel, I can't help but give high praise to this hotel and their management team, as well as Yiko of the front desk.
Senz Hotel, from the moment you step into the lobby, you will feel at home. The lobby is modern and culturally rich, spacious and elegant, and the staff is very warm and thoughtful, and their professional and meticulous service attitude makes people admire. The accommodation environment here is spacious and quiet, which makes people completely relax and feel rare comfort and tranquility.
However, what impressed me most was the management team of Senz. They won our respect with excellent management and professional service. From the overall operation of the hotel to the details, whether it is room service, catering service or other needs, they can get a quick and satisfactory response. This efficient and energetic team ensured that every need of ours was met, bringing us an excellent accommodation experience.
Next is Estilo Restaurant. The food here is simply amazing! From the diversity and characteristics of the menu to the chef's superb cooking skills, to the delicious dishes, everything is amazing. Moreover, their service is first-rate, from pre-meal preparation to post-meal finishing, every link is well organized and meticulous. Whether it is a gathering with friends or a business banquet, Estilo Restaurant is an ideal choice. Special thanks to Mr. Noel and Charles for their hospitality.
As for Ivy at the Spa, her professional skills and friendly service are unforgettable. Her massage techniques are skillful and in place, which makes me feel extremely relaxed and relieved after a busy work. Ivy is extremely sensitive to the needs of each guest and can accurately provide the most appropriate SPA services. Her professional knowledge and enthusiastic service made my experience in the Spa reach the extreme.
Overall, Senz Hotel, Estilo Restaurant and the Spa have provided us with excellent service and experience. Whether it is the facilities, services or the professionalism of the management team, I am deeply satisfied. I highly recommend Senz Hotel and Estilo Restaurant to all friends who are looking for high-quality services and food, and I would also like to thank Ivy for the meticulous SPA service she provided us. I look forward to visiting Senz Hotel and Estilo Restaurant again to experience their excellent service and food again.

AAnonymous UserBesides the location and the gym, this hotel has little to offer. Getting a car takes at least 10 minutes and finding the place where to get into the car is no pick nick either.
I requested a room with a window. Request was not granted. Fair enough.
At around 2:30am it sounded like the smoke detector alarm went off in the room next to me. It went on for 5-10 minutes. Going off an on again several times. I checked outside my door, but no one else seemed to take it seriously as a fire hazard.
The bedding was quite comfortable, so aside from the alarm going off, it was a good night’s sleep.

LLYNETTELIMEntire hotel is modern and prettily designed. Location is accessible to many malls around the corner and there's a beautiful St Ignatius Cathedral next to it. Many amenities provided. Front desk also gave a set of children amenities - toothbrush set and child-size bedroom slippers. Didn't realize till too late but tea with snacks were free for guests at a certain timing and there was supper provided also from 9.30pm till late - chef preparing noodles that you prefer and select on your own from a variety of ingredients and choices. Very homely gesture yet warming for guests.
Reason I found this was it was pretty close to the Shanghai South Railway station. The concierge and front desk manager helped us locate a taxi in the rain because Didi couldn't locate one. Everything was smooth and comfortable.
Would highly recommend and will stay again when w get a chance.

GGuest UserThe room was amazing with a stunning view. On the whole it was a fantastic stay but there were one or two issues- 1. The yoga mats in the gym were filthy. And 2. I was bothered on a few occasions by cleaners or people coming to knock on the door e.g.the cleaner came inside the room even though I said it was too late and I didn't want the room to be cleaned now. It was around 5pm and no one had cleaned the room during the day, but by that time I was ready to relax. There was a language barrier so she just came in and started replacing snacks and drinks and tried to start cleaning up in the bathroom and I had to ask her to leave. I noticed before I left that there was a button for 'do not disturb' but it wasn't obvious so it would be good for the staff to mention that when showing you to your room. I also think it's a good idea for them to have a book with information regarding the restaurant, gym, spa etc.etc. there's some info on the TV but it isn't very detailed.

GGuest UserThe hotel provided fast pick-up from Pudong Airport (reserved using WeChat). It took us over an hour to clear immigration, and the driver patiently waited for us. It’s about a 20-minute drive north from PVG to the hotel, which is less than average for hotels in the airport area. The hotel is located in a very quiet, peaceful, and quaint resort. Although we could see airplanes approaching from the northeast, preparing for landing, we didn’t hear any airplane noise while in the room.
The hotel’s architecture is very unique. If you appreciate traditional Chinese Hui-style architecture, you’ll love the artistic and exquisite buildings with beautiful wood carvings. You’ll see courtyards with ponds, winding corridors, small bridges, and a river on the hotel property. Additionally, the resort features a lake with some water activities. It took my husband and me half an hour to stroll around the resort property. The walk was very relaxing and peaceful!
The staff have been very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Our room is on the second level with no elevator, and the two front desk ladies helped us carry one checked bag upstairs. They are so awesome! I have a sensitive sense of smell and noticed that the bedding didn’t smell as nice as I would like. After asking the staff to change to a new set of bedding, they happily accommodated my request, even though it was a bit late in the evening, around 8 PM. The housekeeping lady was also very professional, warm, and helpful. She even tried to help me fix the door lock. It didn’t affect my ability to use the privacy chain to lock the door, so I told the front desk to resolve the door lock issue after we checked out.
Their breakfast is one of the best I’ve experienced at a hotel in China, with many meat and vegetarian options. They even have vegetarian buns! The kitchen also provides freshly made wontons and noodles upon request. So delicious! Our checkout was supposed to be before 2 PM, but due to our departure flight delay, we had to stay at the hotel for another two hours. The manager offered to waive the late checkout fee for us. The hotel also offers airport drop-off upon reservation.
There is no restaurant in the hotel; however, there’s an independently run restaurant in the resort, which is only a 2-minute walk from the hotel buildings. Although the hotel accepts foreign credit cards, this independent restaurant wasn’t able to accept my Alipay (linked to a foreign Visa credit card), and they didn’t accept foreign credit cards either. My relative in China ended up using the QR code provided by the restaurant and paid for me online.
Given the hotel’s close proximity to the airport and its excellent service and environment, I would definitely recommend it to others and would return in the future.

Additionally, the only bathroom is located right next to one of the bedrooms, with no door and a fully transparent shower space. This setup is extremely awkward and inconvenient unless you’re traveling with very young children. The noise from the bathroom also inevitably disturbs whoever is sleeping in that bedroom.
Another disappointment was the check-in process. We arrived at the hotel around 4 PM, but the front desk informed us that our room was still not ready due to a late check-out from the previous guests. This was frustrating, especially after a long flight, as we had expected to check in on time and freshen up immediately.
That said, aside from the strange room layout, the hotel does have its positives. The location is great, with a partial view of The Bund, and the price is reasonable for this area.
Overall, while the hotel has potential, the room design and service need improvement.
