The Eastwind Oliverea Valley is a boutique hotel surrounded with a natural escapism environment and located amongst the Catskill mountains. It is cloaked in a slice of pristine nature consisting of peaked mountains, lush forests, a sleepy stream creeping parallel to the property and the open sky. I was enthralled with my King Loft Scandinavian-inspired accommodations. The loft space accessibility by ladder was cool. The antique desk was much appreciated as was the window nook and large window that afforded a glorious view of the hillside. The area was cozy and use of the outdoor lounge made me feel 'alone with nature' and brought the outdoors in. Overall, this abode and surroundings presented an atmosphere of 'elegant silence'. The Dandelion is Eastwind's full service restaurant providing an all day menu of inventive cocktails and small plates. Dinner is menued with such delicacies as Dry Aged Pork Chops to Venison Sausages. I opted for Butternut Soup and Lohikeitto ( a Finnish fish chowder). The soup was a standout and the chowder .........was out of this world. A bevy of on property amenities include: a swimming pool, sunrise yoga sessions, guided hikes, and other (weather permitting) activities like skiing (my favorite), snowboarding, horseback riding, fly fishing, biking, hiking and more. So, if you seek a respite from the stressors of urban living in an environment cloaked in naturalism.............then try the ..........Eastwind Oliverea Valley.........Elegant Seclusion.
