The managers of this camp site cracked the code!. One of the tourist sites in Namibia that understand what travellers need and do a good job of providing it. Great campsite (as described by others) & small shop with most things you might need (even random things like cable ties & trailer plugs) The only reason one would opt for the mediocre NWR campsite next door is the earlier morning access to Sossusvlei not available to day visitors, but imo overrated, if you doubt me look at the number of sunrise photos of Sossusvlei/Deadvlei on Tripadvisor(Spoiler alert - there are almost none). Only room for improvement I would say is better wifi at the shop (you are very much limited), but at least the wifi was working (which is not a given in the Namibian desert). Also be careful of jackals, we suffered an opportunist successful raid on our cool bags while we were sleeping.

A very well equipped campsite right next to the entrance of the National Park of Deadvlei/Sossusvlei. The campsites have access to a pool, private bathroom/toilet at every campsite with hot/cold water, 2 electricity plugs and a grill. The campsite has a fuel station and a little conveniance store. Wifi is also available at the shop for free if you are staying there.

Sossus Oasis was the 3rd stop on our 21 day Namibian trip. What an amazing camp. Private ablutions which were well maintained. Nice size pool. Service Station and shop close by. Located 5 minutes from the entrance to Sossusvlei. Staff at the service station were friendly and helpful. The distance between the campsites was good and offered a fair amount of privacy. Would definitely recommend this camp site.

The service at the gate leaves a lot to be desired. The camping site is overpriced and poorly serviced. Not worth paying good SA rands for such amenities. Time to let Namibia go and focus on better inland attractions. NWR aren't delivering on the fees charged. Attitude of personnel is below standard.

We camped and self catered. Firstly the camping areas need some screening. The sand blows everywhere and the wind can get a bit strong. The wifi is only available at the "reception" area and that closes early evening so be prepared to talk to each other. There is a pool but basically just a plunge pool, with no shelter from the wind you are covered in sand by the time you get back to your tent. This was the only place we had to peg our tent down.
